Eels get a new stadium .
Most of them wanted to be part of a new stadium.
There was 29k today but still plenty of spare seats.
They said sellout , well where were all the people that didn't turn up.

They were at the annual Bleeding Hearts Society picnic along with the Tree Huggers Association and the Fudge Party.

How good does that BankWest Parra stadium look!
Already purchased tickets for the Parra v Dragons clash there.
WIN and Jubilee look s bit dated now..,
Some clubs being very well looked after it would seem.
SGI have the problem of having two home grounds. Not only is our management not focused on things like a great stadadium, they would be spending most of the time squabbling over the number of games played at each. The old boys dealing comes into play this for that.

Has anyone on here herd any noise about upgrading Kogarah or the next stage of development for WIN Stadium? This is another one of the down sides of having an 'old boys' management team.

Or we could go all Romanesque & turn WIN into a Colosseum.

Turnstile could lead the Pretorian guards while Waterboy did the water chariot stuff & feed juniors to the lions
Zac could mush out their pen & be the resident slave

That Eels stadium is fantastic ... so jealous ...

Did an experiment on google maps .. cut out a piece of paper to the size of the new stadium (not including surrounds) ...

Then looked over at out patch to see if it could fit ... it wouldnt.

We would have to basically poach the school to fit a stadium like that at Kogarah .. It almost fits but not quite.
It wouldnt fit in the swamp
Wouldnt fit at Carrs park
It would fit at Barton Park
Plenty of space around Loftus
Doesnt fit at WIN

Then you have to figure in public transport as well ...

Lets face it ... would never happen.

Went to eels tigers with tigers and eels fan .
Hard to stay interested with us not playing.
Like MCG not much leg room between rows.
We were unlucky we were on the aisle seats,We had to move 100 times for people to go to get beers and food during game.

Can’t touch Mum’s school!

Maybe knock down the Taj & buy/lease/co-own the golf course behind & build a stadium

But with our now split identity the IM would want it down the coast

Agree though, nothing will happen

I’m was talking a revamp for Kogarah not a knockdown.
1. Extend undercover grandstand across rest of Northern Stand.
2. Upgrade entry points where there are steps - to be all level entry at street level.
3. Add 2 proper sized Screens as currently that tiny screen behind the hill is useless.
4. Upgrade existing food and beverages outlets. (they currently look like old tuck shop kiosks).
5. Look at feasibility of reconfig oval into proper rectangular ground. This will bring the crowd closer especially behind the goal post area. Plus add more capacity.
6. Retain the hill for history.

It would fit if we built the stand over the highway. But silly to do that unless we made it with a retractable roof. Just think:
  • All weather stadium
  • 50k capacity
  • Close to the airport
  • With accommodation and a refurbished Taj
Now Doust and Johnston get on with it and leave the football management to Gould.

Melbourne, Roosters and Souths always get the rub of the green with forward pass calls. It's a lottery most of the time but it is quite clear the refs favour these 3 teams when there's an iffy ball thrown.

Love how Melbourne were given another easy out by the refs last night.
Yes souffs threw at least 3 forward passes from dummy half and got away with them and one forward from gagai which was and led to a try.

Walker gives it to others. but gets a tap and sooks.
Reynolds is the same and gagai too.
Maloney twinges to the ref.
On the forum some suggested Mcinnes do it but does the ref change his mind .
No.

Gagai is a longtime member of the skirt parade.
He wants to keep running even when tackled but if the tackler tries to hold him to make sure of a tackle, skirt boy has a whinge.

He reminds me of the Broncos wingers, Hancock.
Must be a Bronco thing.

Ha Ha ...Mary didn't rate him....another poor decision.......there will be plenty more.....
I thought that is the whole reason for appointing Millward. Mary is not up for pathways, recruitment and retention. In my opinion we had two reserve grade winger/fullbacks who are just as good and if not better than the ones we purchased to replace them.
