Our 5/8 position next week

Suggestions for Sattler and Galea wont make the cut. Satts and Galea wont have a chance of catching Preston Campbell when he dances around the field. We need a speedy 5/8 who can tackle smaller man in the open field. The best option IMO is putting Wilson at 5/8 and bring in Harrison. Fitzhenry is just not a player in the halves IMO. He has good pace and is a good dummy half runner, not an orgnaiser. Wing is a good position for him. Covell is a solid winger and super goalkicker, Hodgson is going well there so we dont need a player to kick goals for us at this stage. Harrison is a big part of our future, he has good size, pace and a good defender. Lets out him in and get him to knock Luke Lewis around.

Hodgson
Moodie
Harrison
Elford
Fitzhenry
Wilson
Prince
Sattler
Grahame
O'Neill
Skandallis
Mears
Gibbs

LaFranchii
Lima
Farah
Halatau

We just have to wait for Benji to come back to fill in the 5/8 spot. By counting my fingers, he should be back in 2 weeks

Yeah sounds alright. So long as its not Fitzy. Fitzy goes ok from dummy which he can do enough from the wing.

But I think Galea would be ok too. He played fairly well when he came on on Sunday. Maybe a bit below fitness for the whole 80 mins.

I wouldn't have both Mears and Farah in the side. Have another forward for mine if you bring Halatau in. I prefer Farrah alone.

Going on how Mears went yesterday, i can't see him getting dropped. He had a brilliant game and was hungry to play some footy. Had a blinder. Its vital Sheens chooses someone with a bit of zest to mark Campbell, as if you let your guard down for a quick second, he's the sort of player who will punish you. Fitzhenry would be ideal with his pace and quick accelaration, although when it comes to the skill's department, its a definite no. Although i wouldn't be surprised to see him be announced in the #6 tomorrow night.

I'm not a Fitzy fan in the halves either but don't say his not an organiser and then say we should put wilson there ! Don't forget his been tried there before and it hasn't worked.

In my opinion why weaken our centres.

Yes Sattler is a forward but in my opinion lock and 5/8 can be very similar positions, and whilst not the best option would be the best for the team.

Whilst i hate the idea of fitzy at 6, i think Tim might bring him back and slot Covell in on the Wing.

I think Sheens will choose our 5/8 from two options.

Fitzhenry to 5/8 and Duffy to wing.

Galea to 5/8.

There is no need to have a guy who is light on his feet to p[lay 5/8 just to cover for Campbell, if a guy is light on his feet it generally means he is small. Most 5/8 defend in the centres these days and 5/8's play a lot of attacking football in the middle of the park.

Mmmmm,Im just not surea about Galea at 6.I dont think he is back to match fitness, and saw him make a few defensive errors again.I dont know if i would have him in my top 17 let alone starting 6.

I did read with great surprise that Buettner is back on deck.Ill have to get new spies as my current informers told me that he was way off playing again.

Can anyone confirm that he is ready for PL.....and is he is,considering our injuries,he may be a week or two off the spot. With Benji stilll a month away,we need someone. Not sure who though.

I doubt very much Duffy will be selected. Samia would have to get a run before he would i reckon.

Covell will be back in firsts in the next few weeks as a utility. Mainly used as a second rower but filling in for wing and centre if needed. Gobbs, I'm only saying what I heard from Magpies staff last weekend about Duffy.

i'm more worried about the panthers backrow running at our 5/8 all night.

why not keep galea at 5/8 like he was on sunday?
play him as a defensive 5/8 with tackle busting ability.

he will rise to the challenge

Can't see why Samia would be in front of Duffy.

The word at Wests is definitely as Nick says. Covell for the bench as a back row with utility value and Duff on the wing.
