He hasn't gambled with McCrone or Aitken..he's being conservative. He's also being conservative using Nightingale at FB instead of Field or Dufty

Nighty is the second best FB in our club. Its not conservative to play our best team. Need to understand nsw cup is 30 points under first grade. When mary believes they are ready, they will be there. Happy to trust our coach to be honest.

Of course Dugan is the best FB in the club. Mann had one game at FB and had an absolute shocker. From what I heard, Dugan wasn't offered top $ because he isn't a ball playing fullback...Maybe that was just an excuse from management to make him sign for lesser $

The 700/800k we offerred was enough. Thank god we didnt offer more. Nightys passes to our try scorers vs warriors was just a delight to see.

My point exactly. He's using a well established first grader to play FB. A position he has played in many times in the past. Gambling would be throwing Field or Dufty in. Mary has surprised me this year. He has my trust.

I'm not proud of how the club has handled this. I find it embarrassing how the whole negotiation process was handled by the club.

Dugan has had a low offer made in November which the club did not change over all that time. As far as I can remember Dugan was silent for months and the only comment he made was things were progressing and there were just a couple of details to sort out.

He made a comment he was an elite player and wanted to be paid and recognised as one. This seems fair enough and doesn't seem any different to what many other players say. His comment about being a fullback was because Millward used the argument that he was a centre and centre's should be paid less.

I am sorry he is going and think we will miss his whole hearted contributions.

Problem is that Mary won't be there and we will lose games next year testing these juniors.

Your 30 point theory surely doesn't apply, otherwise most of the reserve graders would have replaced first graders last year.

Our success in 2017 is a direct reflection of Mary's lack of coaching skills. He previously and stubbornly stuck with the same old structures even though the players did not believe in them and could not action them. Come 2017 and with largely the same team, the leadership group, throw out the old plans and nut out a new style of play and power plan and Bob's your uncle.

x2....It appears as if we tried to get a player who deserved the $$$ by saying they weren't worth the $$$ and were only good enough to be a centre. Reminds me of when we farked over Lance Thompson.

McGregor will sign for 2 years which will coincide w Bellamys last year at Storm. I keep saying that Dousts No. 1 target ever since Bennet left has been Bellamy and he will try again in 2019!
