Should be PHIL GOULD.

He is the master of getting an underachieving team to perform.
He is the master of getting into the players heads and fine tuning their minds to match their skill set.
It feels like he is the only one who can rescue us.

It's a shame we have a lame dipsh*t CEO who needs to pick and choose someone who is a sofco*k and who doesn't interfere with the clubs operations or won't even say a peep about the board.

Could you imagine what someone like GUS would do to transform our club. If Fitzy wasn't here, he'd be licking his lips at the opportunity to work with the talent we have at the club. You can just tell in his commentary that he is in absolute admiration of our some of our young blokes. It's a deadset mystery to him as it is to us all how were not atleast competing for the minor premiership. When you read articles about GUS giving parra a spray, it just makes you wonder what he would actually do. We'd deadset would have won 4 premierships under this man..Someone with his CV should not go un noticed. All this talk about who our next coach should be...well here he is, right on our door step.

Anyhow, I'll go back to dreaming of having another CEO at our club. Hopefully by 2015, Denis would have farked off, we would have a new coach at our club, our club would have survivied mergers, bankruptcy, and heaven forbid, non existence altogether. :(

I think that Gus does a very good PR job of self promotion. I don't rate him as highly as he does himself. For mine he's the expert in hindsight. His coaching record isn't all that flash and he certainly isn't super coach status. Cast your mind back to the Super League War when Fatty's team of Nevilles beat Gus's NSW SoO team 3-0.

Sure he's lost 3-0, but he's also won SOO campaigns where he probably shouldn't. He's won premierships, and he's also someone who doesn't except mediocracy. Some see him as arrangant and cocky, but I see him as confident and successful. We need a hard head with a bag of tricks.

i like phil gould, he would be a good coach but he hates fitzgerald

That's the Fundamental issue - not many coaches in the NRL could work with Fitzy. Let's have a think of the current crop.

Wayne Bennett - Definitely NO
Craig Bellamy - Probably Not
Brad Fitler - Maybe
Des Hasler - Keep Dreaming
Ricky Stuart - Definitely NO

The rest are cream puff softco&ks like hages. I do like hages, but in compromising situations where hard decisions need to be made, he's softer than jelly.

Phil Gould doesn't want to coach anymore, no point Blaming Dennis about that one...

many credited him for our 2001 season, he took the Warriors to their first semi and one and only grand final.

I think also he has had tremendous success with St Helens in the super league. He would be an ideal choice.

My only concern with him is that he may be a little bit of Smith clone.
