Broncos, Panthers, Warriors, Roosters, Cowboys, Storm, Tigers.

4 of those teams are just above us on the ladder, and so these games will be good for jumping positions and settling into the 8.

Games against Broncos and Roosters. Top ranked teams who we need to beat to do something with a semi-final spot once we get it.

Warriors. On paper they still seem dangerous, but form suggests it's 2 points in the bag.

I can see 4 victories there (Broncos, Warriors, Cowboys, Tigers) with 3 games (Roosters, Panthers, Storm) being armwrestles. If we can jag one of them, we are on 26 after 22 rounds. Win 2 of them and we are on 28 after 22.

Now I know this is looking a bit far ahead, but it just struck me as a nice way to run into the last month of competition.

Watching the game yesterday got me thinking we can make the semi's. There was something about the guys yesterday, the intensity, the confidence, the teamwork. It looked like a good unit working for eachother. The play the ball is essential, we had Manly on the backfoot, thats how teams like the Roosters win. Their games are so fast.

if we can improve and then welcome back players like Cayless and Grothe, we are in good stead for the finals.

The Roosters match is the backing up match from Origin III so they'll probably have some players out, and depending if Fittler/Finch plays Origin III then they'll be pretty disorganised, too.

I'd be happy with us going four-three out of those games. They are all hard games - the Warriors have to win again sometime...

Win less than four, and we're not really on song for the semis imo. Win more than four of these, and I'll start to get excited!

I agree, we shouldn't be getting ahead of ourselves here. Beating Brisbane this week will be a huge task, the guys will have to be at their best. We should beat the Warriors the way we're playing, and home ground advantage against Wests will be handy but is no gimme. The Cowboys aren't easy beats any more, especially in townsville, i'd say they'll start favourites for the match. Away games against Penrith and Melbourne i'd say we'd probably lose comfortably, though I hope that isn't the case. Beating the Roosters is a long shot. I can see 3 wins there and sitting on 22 after 22.

I was of the opinion that after the Newcastle win the next 2 weeks was of immence importance.

Latest news north of the border is that Tallis is out for the game. ...will be out for two weeks due to his neck injury. Add Tate to the injured list plus the origin backups and we have a great chance.
