IMO our song and chants have become significantly shorter this year, more so than last year and the year before.
The good ol' days of belting out a "Saaaaaiiiiinnnnnnt Geeeooooooooorrrrgggge" or a "Commmmmme Onnnnnnn Youuuuuu Saaaaaiiiiiinnnts" are somewhat behind us.
Not sure why this is, perhaps th fact that the army has ushered in a new generation...
The chants used to go so long that we couldn't breathe!
I just think that by the time we get the whole army singing, it's too late and it's all over and we've resorted back to the standard "St.George clap-clap-clap" gig.
It's a shame. Something to work on perhaps?
Thoughts?
