is it just me or is johnny wilkinson overrated???/

he missed something like 4 kicks the other night

whilst craig fitzgibbon has missed like 4 kicks all tour

extrememly overrated for mine

He has actually been a little off this tournament but it is difficult to compare the two codes. For starters the union boys take a lot of penalty shots from outside 40m while this is very rare in league. To counter that the rugby union ball, in my opinion, is easier to kick a longer distance.

Put Wilkinson behind the Scottish or Welsh pack and he would be exposed for all to see. He wouldn't even get the chance to miss 3 goals in a match.

Very limited player.

Isn't it ironic that union's most influential player is labelled by many as extremely boring?

I have to agree with this - im am yet to see the hype about this guy (except for his looks 8) ) Fantastic kicker yes but besides that hmmm i dunno, doesnt do much for me

I wonder what the english team would be like if they didnt have jonny slotting field goals and penalties all the time. i doubt they'd be where they are now

I don't think he's an overated kicker but more and overated player in general. He lacks creativity and just basically catches and passes. Without his kicking ability he wouldn't be in the team.
