Where to start with what's wrong with the latest expansion idea...
Firstly I don't know anyone who identifies as a Pasifican ?
What is the capital of Pacifika?
There's a reason people come here from the Pacific... small unpopulated poor countries in exactly nowhere ffs yeah let go where they fled and make it big
Rugby union did this monstrosity because they are failing so badly that they wanted to put an exclamation on it.
we literally have 10+ better locations for a team... mostly because they're actually locations

I'm assuming that the NRL are purely giving lip service to government/ patronising them while stadium negotiations ect are always ongoing and keeping the option open to the possibility that the government are willing to pay the NRL an absolute fortune to make it happen and in all honesty I think the longest and widest this debate rages is just all free publicity for the NRL

But for me, I'd boycott any game that involved something so dumb as the Pacifika

Hopefully they arent that dumb to follow unions model. They seem to be playing to a largely empty stadium, then again so are most of the union clubs it seems.

Having said that if we could convince the Aus Govt to fund a second NZ team in Wellington under this badge it might have some merit. Wouldnt be a PNG club though.
