UNHERALDED Manly duo Luke Williamson and Glenn Stewart are determined to show critics the Sea Eagles are not a one-man pack when they start together for the first time in the second-row against South Sydney at Telstra Stadium tonight.

Former international Mark Geyer led the attack on Manly's pack, when he said the Sea Eagles' premiership hopes would be in tatters unless Ben Kennedy got support from his teammates.

Now both Williamson and Stewart are ready to prove Manly can not only overcome the injury setbacks to Steve Menzies and Anthony Watmough, but they are not a one-man team under Kennedy.
"I don't take much notice of what he writes," Stewart said in reference to Geyer's prediction.

"He writes a lot of stuff in his articles that put a downer on things.

"Definitely BK is in good form, but I wouldn't say he's the whole side."

Williamson agreed, adding the onus was on himself and Stewart to carry the load following hand injuries to both Watmough and Menzies.

"We've just got to play our own game," Williamson said. "If we can each contribute to the side I'm sure we can win (over Souths).

"We are not going to play like Beaver or Choc," Williamson said. "Not having them there is a big loss to the side, but I think Stewy and I can do a good job.

"He (Geyer) can say whatever he likes. Everyone at the club knows we work together for each other and I'm sure this time of year it will pay off."

Prop Jason King admitted Kennedy could do with more support but the rest were working together to follow their leader.

"BK does a lot of work and he probably does need more support from us," King said.

"But we are out there doing our best each week."

Half Matt Orford warned Souths will be no pushovers with former Cronulla fullback David Peachey giving the hapless Rabbitohs more options in attack since he joined the club last month.
