Parra Trial

Do we really need to risk Marshall in this game? I understand the Roosters trial game is different but I get frightened to see him (and Farah for that matter) used in trials. Their positions are never in doubt and they play so many games in a year with rep duties lets keep them fresh. I know match fitness is important but the risks are so great.

Get a fringe player in there who may be needed later in the year and give them a go. Just my thoughts.

IMO there is no point in resting him or any player from the trials, he is just as likely to get injuried in a trial as he is in Round 1.

He will probably only play limited minutes anyway so might as well let them run out the cobwebs and hit round 1 ready to fire

Besides, if we don't have a Marshall v Hayne moment to take on the Giants out at Crumbletown, the Daily Tele will write up another hate piece like that one about the SCG today...

isnt hayne injured and not playing?

PARRAMATTA looks set to welcome back most of its stars for the trial game against Wests Tigers on Saturday.
Parramatta coach Stephen Kearney told the Advertiser Jarryd Hayne, Ben Smith and Nathan Hindmarsh were a good chance of playing their first club match of the year at Campbelltown.
The trio were not part of an under-strength Eels’ 24-4 loss to New Zealand at Rotorua on Saturday..................................

Thanks diabolik...
Hmmmm another year and another failure in trials lol. A wins good but means didly squat in the scheme of things i guess. Looking at some other sides we arent the only team that doesnt seem to impress in trials.
Can anyone who attended provide any feedback on the positives from the game?

No injuries...only positive imo

Marshall looked quik.
Lawrence & Kilo were my best, but we were ordinary, defence terrible, kicking shyte, little go forward...Parra killed us in metres

I was out there and it was a first trial nothing more took us a little while given our players were having their first game let in a couple of tries from close range but we had a few penalties go aginst us early etc our top players all had good moments and will be better for the run and most importantly NO injuries, oh and in the second half a couple of young replacements impressed - Jacob Miller and Numebr 26 (wing/fback not sure who), Utail was good too and I can see him being useful
