Just thought this was a nice article - from a teacher (PDHPE) perspective, the kids can get a lot from visits like this.

Good work guys!

Parramatta Eels Blitz - 'Reddy for Action'
19.02.07 15:00
Nearly 11 000 children from 40 schools across the Parramatta District took part in the Eels Blitz last week. With several Eels players, such as Jarryd Hayne & Joel Reddy, attending the school visits. This annual event was once again a success with several new schools being visited and keen to participate in rugby league events throughout the coming year.

As part of the assembly visits, the players spoke of their experiences playing for the Eels and the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. Schools also received a Harmony Day talk with NRL packs to be issued to schools closer to Harmony Week.

Each school visit was also attended by the local junior league club in the area which informed students of the positives of their club. The schools were also alerted to the fact that the Parramatta District is the only area which has a GIRLS only competition and can cater for girls wishing to play rugby league all the way up to the senior level.

Tryscoring whiz Jarryd Hayne and Joel Reddy gave each school they attended a run down of some of their most memorable tries and both players explained why rugby league is the best game of all for them.

The event was co-ordinated by Parramatta ARL National Development Officers and assisted by Western Sydney Development Unit. The overwhelming response from most schools participating in the blitz was that students are looking forward to a massive 2007 for the mighty Eels.
