Parra have now dissapeared from the finals race in premier league and with the eels falling out of the first grade comp weeks ago many fans are of the thinking the season is over for parra.
Correct to an extent but the Eels spirit lives on with the Wenty Magpies, a Parramatta junior team, who have progressed to the Jim Beam Cup final this Saturday at Aussie Stadium. If they win this encounter they will feature on Grand Final day in the Jim Beam Cup final against The Entrance Tigers.
Parra currently have strong links with the Wenty club and frequently utilitse Ringrose Park as a training ground. Wenty have also provided many players for the Eels and although not currently being the official feeder club of the Eels may take on this role in 2004 if Guildford do not apply for JB Cup inclusion as is currently expected.
So if you Eels fans are free this Saturday and the following Sunday support a club who supports the Eels in the Wenty Magpies.
