The only way Memphis will trade Pau to the Bulls is if they get Gordon and Deng. Will the Bulls be willing to trade their 2 best players this year for a 20 and 10 Gasol?.

I also read that they may hold out untill the end of the season for the Bulls to trade Hinrich for Gasol.

I can't see the bulls trading BOTH gordon and Deng, personally I think Deng will be a 20 and 10 guy in the not too distant future anyway, and the've also got Tyrus Thomas who will probably be a starter in 2 years time and could be anything, added to the fact that they got Ben Wallace on big money. In my opinion all the bulls need is to draft a good young centre with decent upside, someone like a Hasham Thabeet. A starting side with a backbone of Hinrich, Gordon, Deng and Tyrus Thomas, give that 3 years time and it could be the best in the league

Baaaaaaaaaaad move by the Bulls if this ends up going through. Deng and Gordon are both future all-stars. I'm not sure it's such a good idea for them to go for this move right now. I agree with aqua duck in the sense that they need a fresh centre of the Andrew Bynum mould. I don't think the trade will go through...

Then again, Bulls management did sign Ben Wallace for $60m ($15m Per Year) so you never know...

personally I don't think Wallace will see out the entire term of his contract, they won't need him that much in a few seasons time because Deng will give them 10 rebounds a game, Tyrus Thomas will give them rebounding and shot blocking and if they get a young centre someone like a Johan petro or if Martynas Andriuškevičius, given that he's only 20 years old can show some improvement and give say 6 rebounds a game and shows abit of a presence in the paint, and with Nocioni and Mike Sweetney coming off the bench, they really won't need big ben

I think they're stuck with him now.

Who in there right mind would take on his mammoth contract? He's locked down for another three years after this, and the way he is playing his value won't exactly thrill potential trading partners.

Theoretically, I don't think you can really question the Bulls for moving for Wallace. At the time, he was the perfect fit. They struggled on D, he brought some. They struggled to defend the base, he brought presence. They were young and raw, he brought experience.

I'll freely admit that I figured it was a good move at the time and I feel that in time it will pay off. Who'd have known Deng/Nocioni/Gordon/Thomas would all become a superstars? I certainly didn't pick Tyrus Thomas.

And because I can't be bothered starting a new thread: FREAK ORLANDO, IT'S TIME TO TRADE GRANT HILLS CONTRACT FOR A SHOOTER! MAKE A MOVE BEFORE WE FALL BEHIND PLEASE OTIS!
