If Inglis keeps up his pace of Origin and international tries for the 2nd half of his career and gets 1 more CC medal he's right in line after Lockyer.

Just out of interest, how does GIs c**k taste? Salty? Strangely sweet?

If Inglis becomes an immortal and Hayne doesn't than im never watching Rugby League again and than jumping on the Western Sydney Wazn bandwagon

If Inglis retires with the most Origin tries, the most tries for Australia and 2 Clive Churchill medals he'll have one of the greatest rugby league resumes of all time. Hayne is a top player, he's NSW's best and one of the top 2 fullbacks in the game right now but he is a lot further behind Inglis on the path to Immortal status.

Lockyer must be next after big Mal. And Thurston is so far out in front of the pack it is not funny. He has been winning origins now for 8 years and has two golden boots sitting in the cupboard.
A pair of golden boots Cinderella fans.
Look, Webke, Petro, Price, Tallis are just a few who are in front of Gallen.
The immortal tag is a joke anyhow after they fast tracked Joey ahead of many others more deserving.

The raging bull. There was a unstoppable force.
This debate is dead, so is the immortals bs,

This is one of the most ridiculous threads in the history of LU. Gallen isn't in the conversation.

'Immortals' is far and away the most ridiculous concept in the history of League, talking about the Socceroos chances in Brazil is a university course in comparison

I challenge you to name the hundred players more deserving of the immortal status than Fulton. You'd be lucky to name five who, incidentally, are already immortals.

It is apparent that you have never seen Fulton play and nor has your father, who was probably pissing nappies at the time.

On the question of Gallen being an immortal. No. Being one of the best forwards in the game over the past five years or so doesn't cut the mustard. His lack of achievements over that period denies him of such "greatness".

This. Love him or hate him, Bozo could play and is a deserving immortal.

?It?s just that I?d include Paul Gallen in that company too. He?s the best NSW Origin forward I?ve seen.

?He?s played magnificently for Australia over a long period of time in the back-row and front-row. He can play 80 minutes.

?All the players want to play with him. He?s the man you?d want to go to war with.?
Rodney Howe was the best NSW forward that I have seen
He was an 80 minute player as well...

There are many reasons why Gallen could become a immortal, not that the tital means alot.
His early days were full of grubiness, he has not really won much. He was at a club that is still under investigation for illegal drugs.
He has simply stopped playing 80 minutes since the club was busted.
He is hardly on the field these days, he only gets up for Origin. So selfish.
He ruined Origin with his dog shots on Myles.
He could also be the end of the Queensland fairytale, so origin could be dead as a result.
Yes, Gallen is ripe for the NRL immortal tag.
He is everything that NSW are all about. 3 cheers. Hope he gets the gig.
Arron Woods will be next.
He has played a couple of good games and ex-nsw players are raving about him now.

Bozo was a truly great player . . . any religious person could be forgiven for believing the 'immortal myth'. . . they are in the company of millions

Rothfield & Hadley were on the selection commitee for the next immortal.

Nothing more needs to be said.

If the brain dead must have 'Immortals' why not make it a bigger deal than just selling magazines. Why not put it to a public vote every four years. Let supporters, the people who have no hidden agenda, select the next icon

Supporters do have agendas. I would vote Scott Minto and Stu Kelly
