Is he a decent buy?
Juries out with me. I'd prefer to keep Beatts.Especially seeing Stringer will only be a short contract. His back is worse than Beats & he is definitely less mobile, as was evident last Sunday.
To me its like selling a holden Rodeo to buy another Rodeo, both good work horses, butthe deal does nothing.

I'd prefer Beattie.

Not only do I think he is as good a player as Stringer he has also shown he enjoys being at the club.

'Bear' in mind that Stringer will probably want to play for the Central Coast if they get the nod too...

WWAAAKKKK yes Mr Jimbo

the duck won't be impressed with getting him for a year only. what are we the transit lounge? Stopover for blokes waiting to be elsewhere.

too bad the pen is poised.

Buy the 1976 model Rodeo.
Bigger engine and size.
It won't be needed for work in the Central Coast as possible new owners won't have a business license for quite some time.

Our current 1975 model has served well but is very much dogged with gear problems. Struggles to get out of 1st and then over revs when it does. Does not have power steering, so sideways movement is a nightmare. Riddled with structural rust and will probably spend more time in the garage than in use. Unfortunately won't get anything for a trade in but at least we won't be wasting anymore money.

Hmm, it seems you are not a mechanic either.
Stringers injury profile is worse than Beatties.
& I have not seen anybody that slow on a football field since the Bear.
I can see how 6 months age difference means anything.
In actual fact it wouldnt matter if it was 6 years. Beattie is the better option.

Beattie if cheap would be a handy bloke to keep around. Stringer if he wants to come here to crack a rep team playing off Noddy and learning from Stevo then let him. I'd like to have them both

last year Parra, Wests, melb and the queens were after him and he still stayed. I would sayit would cost the Warriors more than he is worth to get him to move away.

Beeker also thought Joey was leaving didn't he? ;-)

but for what it is worth I doubt the club will offer him top dolla so he will stay.

I think Stringer is a bit of a gamble. I didn't realise he is 28. It's be better to get a slightly younger gun prop, to get more mileage out of him.
