Former policeman Paul White to take over as Broncos CEO

BUSINESSMAN Paul White has been named as chief executive officer of the Brisbane Broncos, replacing the retiring Bruno Cullen.
Former policeman White has a corporate background and has spent the past five years in senior positions with Anglo American Metallurgical Coal and before that a number of years with Xstrata Zinc.
He has been heavily involved in rugby league as a player and coach, captaining the North Queensland and Central Queensland teams and has been a premiership player/coach in towns such as Emerald, Moranbah, Mt Isa and Rockhampton.
From 2001 to 2004, he was the staff coach at the Queensland Academy of Sport Emerging Origin Players program and was the Queensland under 17 coach in 2006 and in 2008.
He was named in the Queensland Police Team of the Century which included greats such as Mal Meninga, Peter Jackson, Greg Veivers and Wayne Bennett.
His appointment at the Broncos starts on January 1.
