Memo to Laurie Daley: Parramatta wrecking ball Joseph Paulo wants to play for you.
Paulo has been a revelation this season and will come into representative reckoning in years to come if his game continues to mature. He is eligible for New Zealand, having lived there until 1999, but his heart is with the Blues, who he has represented at junior level.
"It's always a childhood dream, watching guys like Haynesy [Jarryd Hayne] be a part of Origin," he said.
"The opportunity to play for NSW came first and I was happy to be a part of that.
"It was tough for my family in New Zealand; they were all expecting me to play Junior Kiwis, but I'm happy to play Origin."
