Payten could have been anything about 5 years ago but his skills where just not developed at Canberra under the old management. It would take a lot of dedication by a club and Payten to get him up to being a good first grader in about 5 years.

Pretty upset to lose him BJ and I think he's a very good player.

He has barged his way over the line for a couple of tries this season. I thought he played exceptionally well in the WCC, if you can get a copy of the game watch it and I'm sure you'll be impressed.

Weaknesses, well a dropped ball here and there but over all he is pretty consistant.

Anyway, congratulations on signing him, I'll be sorry to see him go.

   Lets not get started with the incompetent programmers of paid TV on this side of the Tasman.

I'm sorry to see Payten go too. Until Cusack's injury, he really was more of a bench player but has certainly made his mark in the starting line up since. Few mistakes but who doesn't make them. You've bought yourself a hard working prop and I hope he goes well for you guys.

Payto was really starting to hit his straps and looked like being an important member of the team for the next few years. Because we are losing a solid and potentially very good front rower, I am dissappointed.

More importantly, Payto was extremely popular with the other players and with their partners and also with the coaching staff. The fact that he was dumped, and how it was done, has upset many of the players.

I hope they use these emotions to fire up and send Payto to wests with a premiership ring, rather than letting this episode upset their preparation for the finals.

I'm pretty happy we have signed him he is young and has got some skill.. apparently he has a pretty good passing game for a front rower?
on the most part tigers fans are happy that we have signed him, as a good young hard prop really capped off our buying and perhaps weaknesses in the team that were left to be fixed.
hope he goes as well for the tiges as he has done for you guys..
all the best to the roosters in the semi's this year haha cya's there in 2004 :D
