If the NRL are serious he will go the way of Carney. tear up the contract and ban him for 12 months. Simple. And realistically, it should be as simple as that. If it goes on and on all it will reveal is that the Roosters have all the pull. Balls in the NRL's court.

If it happened at my friends place i dont think i would film it but i would certainly be more than happy to turf him out. As stated in another post you dont know how you would handle it but i think my 1st thought would be to calm the situation down or throw him out.

If I was at a friends house and someone famous was acting like that, I'd have zero problem showing the world how much of a f**kwit he is. If I scored $60k from it, thats just gravy.

*theoretical f**king liar
If thats genuinely true, good for you sir. I guess we operate on different moral compasses. I personally dont owe Pearce, or whichever celebrity it would be, the courtesy of not exposing his f**ked up behavior. Even moreso if he was in my friends house, doing that to her, her lounge or her dog. The money would be a sweetener.

None of us owe Pearce anything. I dislike a lot about him from the limited insight I've had through the media, and of course that's all I can judge from. Seems a knob of the lowest order with a massive sense of entitlement.
Push comes to shove who knows, my moral compass might act up. I don't claim to be a Saint. I can only go by what I feel about the situation.

Yeh, nah.

If that happened at my female friend's house and Pearce was acting like that, my first thought would be to help to throw him out. I wouldn't be filming the idiot while he proceeded to molest my friend (and then her dog) and piss on the lounge.

Hey but that's me, Got no problem if you'd do the opposite - at least you're honest.

Whether or not you would take the video wasn't the question. I struggle to believe that if anyone had that video, they wouldn't take $60k to sell it to the media. I say that in refutation to all those whinging about the 'scumbag who sold the video'. I mean, exposing how much of a mounted f**kwit he was being is reason enough - knocking 10%+ off my mortgage for the troubles is a sweetener. Welcome to 2015.

Pearce deserve everything he gets, he is a high-profile public figure and he (along with everyone else) knows that the title carries more than just a big pay packet, like the responsibility to not piss on people's lounges! Again, for the amount of money he gets paid, I wouldn't think it's too difficult to spend a few years not getting shitfaced and embarrassing your employer.

As you say, taking the video and selling it are 2 different things.

Yes, if I happened to have something valuable the media wanted and could sell it, I probably would. Agree with you there.

It was the calculated way it was done that doesn't sit well with me. The guy knew exactly what he was doing, trying to get Pearce to incriminate himself more and more, and then he was straight online getting bids after the video was taken. If Pearce was breaking the law, absolutely, film him, send it to the cops and hope the book gets thrown at him. But we can all agree that no laws were broken, and very little if any harm was done. All we saw was Pearce being a goose (which we all kinda knew he was anyway) So really what has anyone gained other than the guy 60k richer?

Guess I'm old school, didn't grow up in the world of social media and my first reaction if something happens wouldn't be to film for profit. And I certainly wouldn't knowingly end someone's career for no reason other than a bag of cash.

Firm believer in karma and the universe righting itself. And if I was ever to do something like that, I'd be worried about 60k worth of bad luck somewhere down the track.

Anyway, as I said that's just me. Enough about Pearce, as has been stated he seems to be the knob of the highest order and deserves what's coming, for profound stupidity more than anything.

Back to talking footy.

Not the first time he has acted like a douche. The NRL needs to show some consistency with their rulings and that should mean Pearce should be pissed off.

As for the bloke selling the video, well that is really a jack act. I would never do that to another mate. Ever.

In simple terms there should never have been anything to sell.

Looking at the news today more to come most likely and a couple of young blokes who he should be an example too are going to get caught up in it as well.

Makes Gasnier's misdemeanour look pretty tame but he had to handle the fall out and re invent himself and did so.

Pearce should have did not and not likely to.
