21 times more likely to get a penalty against than for.

That is not "normal service", that is demonstrable bias. Get used to it.

One of the dumbest interpretations of a graph you will ever see.

The Broncos are at that end of the chart because they are physically dominated and have to infringe in the ruck just to keep up. Also they lack leadership and discipline as seen again vs the Knights

It’s the lack of effort that is worrying. When your six obviously wants the ball to be played out the other side, it’s time to introduce him to the reserve grade coach

The sample size is too small to really come to any kind of conclusion, other than the obvious fact Broncos really lack leadership on the footy field.

Broncos fans whining about it not being fair. They're finally seeing what its like for regular teams.

Being the most penalised team is their own doing. Firstly because they cant control the ball and have the lowest possession rate in the NRL. Secondly because there are some idiot thugs in your team. Those 2 things influence each other and the penalties against. Despite that they're only 2 penalties a game worse off than the average team. Seems about right.

Although in the whole draw the Broncos haven't got a single 5 day turnaround. They only have a 6 day turnaround on 4 occassions with the rest of the draw being 7+ days. I doubt any other club has been that lucky with their draw so theyre still slightly above regular teams. Fancy 7+ day turnarounds 80% of the time and 90% of the time having had a longer turnaround than the opposition.

Its not 21 times more likely to give away a penalty or 6 again. You guys are barely more likely to be penalised or have a tackle restart than a bunch of teams. Cowboys, tigers and Roosters stand out as teams that are very close to the broncos on that front.

The difference is that the broncos are barely winning penalties.

Welcome to the world of supporting a bad team. Every fanbase here has experienced it. The broncos arent getting up over the advantage line and losing the battle for field possession. In rugby league that normally translates to being penalised a ton but also not winning penalties. The knights ran for over 600 more metres and won 200 more metres in post contact field possession. If your line is being bent back more you certainly wont win any penalties because the knights have no reason to give them away and the broncos will cop them as they try and fight the momentum the knights are generating with field possession.

A play that springs to mind last night was the broncos had momentum and played a ball out to the edges in the dying stages when the knights had clocked off. The ball ends up in Boyds hands who steps back inside and gives up a surrender tackle lol.

Git gud, win penalties

Interesting to see that Knights games have been quite low in penalties both given and received. Not sure what to make of it other than it's an interesting anomaly on the chart.

Its a really small sample size of 3 games but you guys have had Cummins twice out of the 3 games in the sample and he is by far the ref with the least amount of penalties so far

We have had the rough end of the pineapple on a few decisions so far this year but so do all teams at some stage. The problem for the Broncos is unforced errors continually give the ball back to the opposition. You are always going to give up more penalties defending than attacking so hanging onto the ball more takes the ref out of the equation.

Yay another Broncos thread but fair enough. When we come out the other end of this long, dark tunnel we will have atoned for our perceived sins over the years (ie being a good club and team to the chagrin of fans of the lesser clubs) and everyone will love us again. The mob will move on to irrational hatred of currently popular clubs like Melbourne, Roosters and Manly.

In the meantime I think Siebold should start training the team at the same time at the same location with the same drills rather than individually in private.

Broncos supporters unfortunately are going to feel the pain like supporters of most other clubs.
Due to inept management and coaching you guys are hitting rock bottom and will take a few years to recover as there will be a few stupid decisions after another seeking a quick fix .

Melbourne will be the next team to go through this .

this will show the true level of passion of those 2 sets of supporters . It’s been easy to make fun of Sydney clubs crowds and memberships but many supporters have stuck by through thick and thin .

now getting back on topic , now that broncos are on the slide expect to get cainings in penalty counts deserved or not , as the lesser teams never get rub of the green , natural bias by refs
