Crichton got charged with contrary conduct because he carried on like a 12 year old. These are facts. Yet you bleat and moan like a 12 year old supporter.

I couldn't give a shit about where journos land. Don't follow them. But Crawley is right on this one.
Really?

This by far us my favorite moment watching the sharks, even better than when they beat the storm in their GF, i especially loved the Segeyaro try scored in that storm rematch in the wet, i got a full round that week, im a fan of the resilience of that sharks team, its been downhill since flano has left... defensively anyways.. the juniors coming thru are great

Nice one. I really wish we were good enough to be smug.

Flanno was in the right place at the right time. Unfortunately he f**ked our recruitment after 2016. We were sliding before he left.

You guys have a team full of weapons. Maybe a year of maturity will get you over the line.

Christ why am I being serious all of a sudden

Amazing how easily people get triggered by a team when they're playing well. Fancy being so angered over something that's not too different to what happens hundreds of times every weekend.

Is it anymore disrespectful to pull an opposition player into a team celebration than it is to sledge players after mistakes? Giving them at a pat on the head as you mock them etc.? Seems a pretty funny line to make this disrespectful when similar shit happens thousands of times every season.

Honestly the only thing that was bad was Tapine wasnt on the field yet but really when all the players are in that corner of the field it's easy to think he was on the field.

f**king moments before this Croker is pushing Martin who's running in to celebrate. Raiders gave it to Critta after every mistake and f**kup he had which was alot. So naturally he wants go get one back.

Just unfortunate his form is so poor he cant even celebrate scoring himself. If he got suspended it would be doing Panthers a favour to be honest.

Rapana was giving it to our players when he thought croker scored in the first half, Kikau patted someone on the head after Luai's try, The whole game had a a lot of feeling and was better for it.

At the end of the day unless Myrkhen was calling out Mick Ennis, Maloney and a few others from that 2016 sharks team he is just talking out of his ass and defending Paul Crawley at the same time, shame.

Yeah it was different because he grabbed him which is kinda funny but then wouldn't let him go and arked up with the other smuggers when tapine was pushing him off.

No doubt thats why he got charged. Only one eyed fan Bois can't see this

Every Penrith fan on here has admitted he was acting like a dick. But the level of outrage over a little push and shove is pathetic. We got f**kwits like Paul Crawley getting on his high horse five days after Critta gave one of his mates a hug.

Critta & Tapine were having a laugh in the huddle. Hardly arked up.

The Crawley blow up was funny. I reckon the dickhead read this thread & went with it. The best part was the other team was Canberra, who would be up there as the most niggly team in the comp. Luai is a feisty little bastard no doubt, he still has a way to go to match Rapana though. Luai is also backing it up with the way he plays.

The reason people are treating it differently is because Tapine was not in the field of play. It would be like a raiders player running over and starting a fight with the panthers bench if the roles were reversed.

Its just trying to start a fight with someone at the time minding his own business.

He was standing right next to the huddle mate, on the sideline. He was no where his own bench that is a bullshit analogy. Do you really think our players on the field are aware of whether he was subbed on or not while celebrating a try scoring play?? None of the fans knew it until the sideline reporter pointed it out. It is being overblown massively he was right next to the huddle and Critta put an arm around him and pulled him in. He was being a smart ass for sure but that is about it.

The judiciary cant read peoples minds but they have obviously ruled picking a fight with a man not on the field to be a worse offence than general on field antics. Hence why he got fined.

It is literally the same as picking a fight with the Raiders bench for all intents and purposes. Tapine was not on the field. He was at that stage a benched player.

As I said in the game day thread its a bit ridiculous penrith fans are actually defending this. It is functionally the same as a player picking a fight with the opponents bench. Its not the crime of the century but there is a reason why the NRL hit him with a contrary conduct charge.

I'd get your point if it was a trainer or another non playing part of the Raiders team. A bloke wearing the other teams jersey in that close proximity is fair game imo. I'm happy to admit it was a bit of a dick move, the first time Kenny Edwards did it was funny, but it's not a celebration that should become common.

Yeah I understand the fine i dont care about that. All I am saying is it is being overblown massively i find your stance on it ridiculous. You literally just said "It would be like a raiders player running over and starting a fight with the panthers bench if the roles were reversed" That is complete horseshit. Critta did not run over to your bench he was no where near your bench he put his arm around a bloke and they both stood in the middle of a push and shove laughing and smiling, OMG how outrageous!!!!

thats why they fined him to stop it becoming common. That said I would be happy with contrary conduct charges being handed out for most on field niggly antics. Since punching got banned players know that winding the opposition up is a valid strategy and its made the game worse imo. I know the raiders are as guilty if not more so than any other team. Rapana would be fined almost every week.

Like Munster started a fight in the Melbourne/Dogs game acting like a merkin and it got two blokes put in the bin. If NAS had kept his cool then Munster would have gained Melbourne an advantage acting like a massive dickhead.

Like most other Panthers fans I don't have an issue with the fine. It's the hand wringing from other supporters & then the Crawley piece that I think is over the top. I know Crawley mentioned he likes the way the Panthers play to add some "balance" to his beat up, but it was seriously over the top. The footage they played from the Warriors game where Luai trod on I think it was Chanel Tavita's head was way out of context. No way that was on purpose, for one thing no player is going to attack a players face with the studs like that intentionally & 2nd he could have easily broken his ankle. Using that as "evidence" of Panthers players being smug was pretty disgusting I thought.

That happened in origin with will chambers getting hugged after a NSW try, it happens quiet often, but ive never seen a substitute or trainer get involved, thats a new one, only Stanley the steeler can top all of that, with him joining a punch up
