Just think how things could have gone back in 2011 had Tim Sheens not chosen to stay at Tigers instead of joining Panthers. We might not have played finals in the past decade.

Tigers helped build this dynasty by re-signing Sheens

When you really look back it shows Gus was winging many things with no f**king idea really. We got very lucky with MANY decisions

Oh man that's takes me back.

At the time I was so glad to see the back of Elliott virtually anyone seemed exciting.

The players we went after too. Everyone remembers JT but we also went after Josh Reynolds, Carney, Beau Ryan and Chris Heighington among others.

Yes the Penrith Panthers have had "the hand of God" follow them over the last few years.

You don't get to be this successful without some luck.

Still the whole region has become the "heartland" for Rugby League in Sydney.

To think when the Rugby League Cup was played, the organiser Micheal "Mick" Brown wouldn't even play a game in our region and now, the junior programs are through the roof with abundant player numbers and great coaching. Still Micheal Brown did get sacked after that one phone call which showed he was out of touch with Rugby League and a brown-nosing Mexican.

Penrith should be a staple at the top of the NRL for many years to come as the junior programs feed our senior team.

Everyone involved in the new world of Penrith domination should be congratulated.

Other areas need to attempt to copy what has happened in the Penrith region to sustain top line performance and a system that bears fruit and self-perpetuates.

If Penrith win another title this year with such a turnover of players, will it be considered the greatest coaching performance of the modern age?

Ivan Cleary doesn't get the respect he deserves. He is a winner. He is the Super Coach.

The future is a mystery.

It's a very even season.

The top teams have been diluted by player transfers and injuries.

We still have to navigate the impact of Origin on the big teams as well.

Right now, we are in that happy fuzzy place where rugby league is being played under the late autumn sun (or torrential autumn rain) and people are just reloving the great game again.
