That shoulder is going to hurt a lot more watching Blaize Talagi not even use his if they pick him in any front line position.

Worst defender I have ever seen
It's why I was dumbfounded by us saying he'll replace Romy, how? we need someone who can defend as much as romy does, not attack like he does

Pricey reserve grader, but not sure you can coach heart
He's good enough to put together a highlight reel in NSW Cup and then Penrith can offload him early to the Tigers, Dragons, Eels or whichever Sydney club is struggling next season.

Also not sure he's on massive coin with Penrith. I can't remember the last time we overpaid a kid on potential

He did take less, from reports. But when we offered 500k allegedly, not sure how much less.

Anyway he has plenty of attacking talent, I just thought it was a weird signing for a team that realistically runs on pure effort when you strip everything away. Kid has absolutely no effort or heart, and his games for Samoa haven't done him any favours in that perception.

Isn't that what we always used to do

He's the Wahs now.

But what a legacy created during his Penrith years.
He was awful for the Kiwis this year tbh. Pretty much refused to take a hit up in the first 20mins vs Tonga and decided to try and ball play n f**k that up on 2 occasions. We should replace him as captain with Tapine. He didn't even know we had to play PNG last week.

Casey McLean on the other hand....

He was pretty average all year for Penrith along with the rest of the rep players in the pack not named Yeo.

Went up multiple gears in the finals.

I wonder if the impending move away from his only professional club impacted on his form the whole year. He could potentially be on the decline given he played every game at an incredible intensity from 2020 to 2023.

I thought it a bit weird, the commentators kept saying fish had been out there for longer than usual, then I realised, he was playing lock, stayed out there for the bulk if the game, he had the no.8 on his back, tapine in 13, but he came off after roughly 25mins as a normal prop would, so that answers why he was throwing balls around, trying to be NZYeoweh

Braith is as good an analyst as he was a fullback.

For those unaware Freddy ran him out as a fullback against us. Cant remember the year, but we were shit and Elliott was still the coach. We did look pretty good that day though, ha ha.
Was the largest bet I've ever put on a football game..$500 Panthers halftime/fulltime

I went to that game, I have 5 memories

1. My roosters fan mate blowing a gasket
2. Panthers winning by 40
3. Willie Mason making a clean break and for some reason trying to go around Coote instead of just running over the top of him
4. Michael Jennings scoring a 110m try which I called around the time he got out of his own in goal
5. The mate in point one going from a huge Braith fan and look-a-like to just the latter.

I'd forgotten about the Willie one. I dont think he tried to go around him, it was weird though. It was almost like he felt sorry for what was about to happen to Coote and second guessed himself and slowed up a bit. Coote dropped him with a shoulder that probably would be a penalty now, but was hilarious then.

Jennings gave the Roosters the frigid wife treatment a few times iirc.
