I’d love to see the Bears NSW Cup team play the WA CAS rep side at the start of next season or even before an NRL game played in WA.
Have the NRL game played on a weekend when the Bears have their NSW Cup bye.

That would be an absolute touch up and not gain anything

Nope it’s gone, rumour has it that Peter “Zorba” Peter’s may have its head lol
Well it’s pretty rough but I wouldn’t say he has a bears head! :D

Didn’t an old player have “bears head” as a nickname? Was it Phil Sigsworth?

Now we know why V`landys and Abdo were having dinner with Kerry Stokes. LOL.

The Australian Rugby League Commission has announced the appointment of Anthony De Ceglie as the CEO of the Perth Bears.
The highly experienced and credentialled De Ceglie, who until recently was Director of News and Current Affairs at Seven West Media, brings a wealth of executive leadership experience and a history of business innovation. Mr De Ceglie was previously the Editor-In-Chief of the West Australian newspaper.

Australian Rugby League Commission Chairman, Peter V'landys AM praised the appointment of Mr De Ceglie as an important step forward for the code in Western Australia.
"To succeed in Perth, you need a well connected local who knows how to get things done and has a can do attitude. Anthony is a brilliant operator with a proven track record and a genuine Western Australian, and I am excited about what he can do for us as we grow rugby league in the WA market," Mr V'landys said.
The Perth Bears will enter the NRL competition in 2027.

Interesting choice but sounds like he’s well connected in Perth business circles. With no professional sports club experience it’ll be interesting to see to see how he navigates a totally different business sectpr. Welcome on board Anthony!

Also interesting the nrl have appointed the ceo not the board from a governance point of view.
