Phar Lap: the Movie.

I don’t feel like typing all this out today.

With over 50 channels on cable and jacksh*t to choose from last night I ended up landing on the movie Phar Lap.

(How sad is the new 111 channel?)

The end of Phar Lap left me confused.
It was sort of rushed and didn’t explain how he died.
Ended in mid-air.
The implication was he was killed by organised crime then the film sort of hinted that a badly split hoof was his downfall.
And they always say that he won in America but this race was held in Mexico.

I couldn’t understand the old trainer feller in it either – he kept blowing his stack saying how Pharlap has caused him nothing but trouble then he’d turn around and say he was the greatest, none like him, and such.
There was a classic line in this film. When he went overseas the Australian press already had two front page stories ready to go. If he won it'd read ''Aussie great wins.'' If he losed the race they'd print ''ex NZ flopped on its arse.''

What was Phar Lap’s bloodlines? Any horse today share his same bloodlines?

It is of this point that I must lay down the law on yesterday’s MLB Cup winner Viewed.
I don’t know where to start though.
How about how I’ve been backing this horse its past few starts but not in the MLB cup for some reason? I’m absolutely gutted.
Here’s what I said about Viewed at its past 2 starts in the Caulfield Cup and another race (cox plate?)

But my tip is VIEWED.
No weight and is working up to this extra journey with perfection.

Hey guys? Get on VIEWED, ok? Talk about stays under notice.
That's my ''Brett Gaddes has chickenpox and they can get knotted'' lifeless tip today.

Last Saturday I put five lousy dollars on it at 14-1 in a race that Theseo won.
I couldn’t even put five on it yesterday at 40-1.
I didn’t even think to look at it yesterday I completely over-looked it.
One of my main rules around cup time is to not back horses that run the Saturday and back-up 3 days later.
I got here online yesterday telling you guys that our mantra today is ''think positive thoughts – release positive energy’’ well I’m here to tell ya today f*ck that, f*ck that sh*t!

To be truthful every tip I gave out in the cup yesterday was not my own.
I listened to Glen Munsie with that Nom Du Jeu twinkie.
My boxed quinella weren’t my horses. I didn't even like the box quinella I backed one iota!
I listened to the hype.
Here’s a major rule when gambling on horses – do not back other peoples knowledge.
Don’t listen to what others have to say.
In the cup yesterday I didn’t back one thing I tipped personally I went on others sh*t!

What separates the professional gambler from the piss ants is that the battle continues. It doesn't end with the one race that stops a nation!
That's why we will move on to the Kyneton cup today.

We can sit in the dulldrums like Corey Brown, and that lady trainer, sulking about not been given an ice cream, or we can move on and show what the professional gambler does!

What's it gonna be?

Kyneton MLB Rce 8 numbers 13 and 15 Some are Bent and Testalux.
Sylvan Court has to be monitored as well.
I like D. Yendall as a jockey but this is a big ask.

I have a special in the 9th too.

MLB Rce 9 number 7 Magic of MLB the 4 New Years Eve bares close watching too.

Foz?

I don't know about you but I think today's meeting is nothing special.

That Kyneton Cup yesterday went to that who'syadaddy bullsh*t.
The olds picked out Crabs but it run like a hairy grub.

It's Oaks day today - ladies day isn't it?

MLB Rce 9 number 6 Nediyms Image at good odds.
But Rockpecker and Cocnut Grove will win.

MLB Rce 6 numbers for a quinella 1 with 4 and 9.
Where's Oliver today? Samantha Miss into Oval Affair and Taboogiewoogie.
Har har what'd you know they sht-canned Boss of this horse and today it's topweight with 55 on its back compared to last start 49 wasn't it?
Boss is queer in my opinion.

Arrrhhh yer the Hawksbury Cup is on today too.

My undevine love for O'Hara is strong but I can't bring myself to backing her mount Kick'n'chase.
I'll use her tonight instead for a fantasy based upon bed sheets and doona's!

So I'm making SYD Rce 8 number 5 Alverta the ''Chaka Demus and Pliars - she don't let nobody, nobody but me'' hands off tip in the cup.

.
Bowman rode Samantha Miss all this prep, including her four wins, before going to Melbourne. The only reason he wasn't on her in the Cox Plate was due to the fact that he couldn't get down t 49kg's. That is all Brett, NOT because of his ride.

Yeh Bowman is the regular jockey of Samantha Miss and he couldnt make the weight for the Cox Plate.
Been another struggling day St Brett so I'm going to have something on your tip in the last.
Already dished out on Magical Pearl but I'm going hopeless today.
God give them strength.

On Phar lap have got the DVD of it.
Havent watched it for a while but didnt they show him die-ing at the start. The U.S version was supposed to have him die-ing at the end.
This was because Australians new the story but Americans didnt.
Think the sire was Night March or Night Raid(one of the two).I know it was Brittish and the mare was an NZer but cant remember its name.
Dont think they had any other winners but didnt the bloodlines go back to Carbine or something.Sure I saw that in the film along with the name had to have 7 letters in it for luck.
I'll watch it again in the next few weeks an report back.
Nothing like educating the kids-like that ad about a day off for cricket on Australia Day-should of mentioned the tennis too.
And he died of arsenic but i think they had to confirm it when they were making the film.
Probably why its confusing.

Well I missed the start of the film.
It was actually a good film.

Was he really that great?

It was odd to see how they started the races in a line with string kinda like an old fashion trot start.

Now listen.......Brett Gaddes is tipping badly again lately and making silly errors.
He's already scanned tomorrows races and they're pretty ordinary.

I was just in the food court here in Liverpool making observations and writing down my thoughts.
Here they are.

F*ck people are ugly. God look at her. She looks like the lead singer of that Californian band The Offspring.
Age can do nasty things to people.
One girl is looking at me seductively but she is a splitting image of her father so it's quite bizzare.
Jesus I don't know what's wrong with people.
When Brett Gaddes starts to doubt himself all he has to do is come into Liverpool and look at all the doe-doe's to boost his esteem as they've got it worse off than me!

Two other oddball things from this morning were the cellophane container I ate out of it - it read, 'have a nice meal.'
Then these lollies in the paper shop said 'professional mints.'
Professional mints? Rather strange, don't you think? Hmm.

The Mousakka I ate just then had too much All-spice in it making it taste like a Christmas fruit-cake - not enough salt and needed another layer of potatoe.
Would it be rude of me to go back to the shop and tell them that their Moosaka tastes like fruit cake? Or cinnamon?
Nobody can make a good Moosaka locally.
My potatoe bake was only half cooked too.

I'm on the look-out today for red head pornography as well.
It's the thrill of the hunt to find red head porn that makes me frisky.
I found out the sheila in the porn shop I frequent has a husband. She wears no ring and flirts with you. Hustler.

I found a girls school book on my way in to Liverpool.
Her spelling was all over the place.
She constantly used this word --> WHAT'RE.
Is what're even a word?
She used capital Y's all the time with mis-spelling of Your and You're!
I had to grade her whole book and correct her errors and complete her unfinished sh*t and posted it to her school with an added assesement.
The kids today I'll tell ya!

The general consensus among Brett Company is that the world's over-populated with f*ckwits!
At least try to make an effort with the basics.
I'm known to make spelling errors here and there but it's the keyboards fault.

I'm also haunted lately by the face of snow white on every girl I look at lately too!

Anyway...Brett Gaddes likes a few T. Bannon mounts up in BRS today and he has a special in Africa tonight.
I'm making it the ''A-bomb for the Japs - Napalm special - Drop it like it's hot'' explosion tip Rce 7 number 4 DEMPSEY! at Fairview.

This has been brett Gaddes get knotted!

LOL - the Americans didn't know that a horse born that raced in the 1930's might be dead by the time the movie came out?
