Well we all know about the infamous decision that Raper failed to make.
Here's another one for you.
Earlier this season, when the CSSC met up with Greg Pierce, he informed us that when Anderson was sacked, it was not the decision of the board, but by Steve Rogers. The board (the people who had been thrown off the bus) merely put in motion the decision that Rogers made.
Now, who knows if this is the truth or not. Who cares. It doesn't matter.
What he has done is inadvertedly inform a whole bunch of people that things like the sacking of the coach is the sole responsibility of the CEO. Him. No one else. No excuses.
So Pierce has a chance to peg one back for the abysmal recruitment of this season. It won't redeem him, in my eyes, but it will be a step back on track.
Pierce has a couple of weeks to make a decision. Will he do as Raper did, and fail to act? Or will he prove that there is, in fact, someone willing to make a tough call in the joint and send Raper packing?
We'll know soon enough.
