PJ will not fix our halfback woes

PJ will not answer our halfback issue, he is only good from dummy half. Neither will Witt or Thorman or Dykes. Pj is brilliant Hooker but has not got vision to be half same can go for Witt best posy is probably 5/8. Dykes is a 5/8

We have 2 different halfs coming through in Tim SMith and and Blake Green. Tim SMith was the Aust schoolboys half 2 years ago and Blake Green is the current School buys half at the moment. Surely we have the Answer here. These boys have what it takes to go all the way.

I went to school with an Aust. schools 5/8; he's now playing in France. It's whether they make the transition that matters. Hopefully, they will be given a go before the end of the season but I wouldn't count on it.

Disagree Jake.

PJ is a very good half. He has only made is name at hooker because he has had stacy jones ahead of him.

It might all be academic anyway, depending on his neck

PJ is a great player but not at half. We already tried that and failed miserably he did not go any better than M Witt was going now at Half. Pj is great out of Dummy half or maybe a 5/8 as for directing a team around the Park then NO.

We hardly tried PJ at half back when he was here?

He was coming off the bench....occasionaly slotted in at half, but I reckon would have started less than 5 games at half?

Also....just on tim smith.

Was only able to catch the second half f premier league last night, thats the best I've seen him look in a long while, Tim Smith, easil his best effort for several weeks.

Yep I thought it was one of Tim's better performances last night.

Just a note on T Smith and B Smith who played 1st grade last night, my biggest critisim of these two is when they are beaten in defence they give up and don't have the urgency to rectify their error.

Last night Ben was brushed off by Richards and just layed there watching play until it was stopped then he gets up and runs back to join the play some 50 meters away. Tim did a similar thing against Manly I think.

According to another thread its P.J we are waiting before we release Dykes. All im saying is that, We have tried P.J before and he did not look comfortable untill we put him in as Hooker.

I think he could slot in at half.

If he did not look comfortable, well I' say that was because he was just a kid. He has played state of origin since, and knows how good he is. He certainly used to carve it up in reggies at half back.

Of course, with his neck the way it is.....IF we ge him and IF he actually plays.....how confident would he be that his neck would be ok?

Did I miss something? Since when did we sign PJ Marsh?

He's living in Girraween while recovering from his injuries. Still under contract to Warriors, and still uncertain whether he will get a medical clearance to play again.

With Warriors having coverage at half and hooker next year, people figure PJ is probably not in their plans. Would be a risk coming back from those long injuries, and while a handy player to have on board, he won't be the "saviour" in the halves that we have been looking for since 2001.
