Anyone else really like this band??

I have enjoyed their earlier music such as Pure Morning and Every you and every me especially the latter which I think is a brilliant song.

But this last year I have reall taken to Sleeping with Ghosts.

The Bitter End is one of my all time fav songs and I really enjoy it.

Sleeping with Ghosts (soul mates never die) has grown on me enormously from when I first started listening and I think is fantastic.

Special needs (just 19....) is also great along with this picture which both got a bit of radio play.

Centerfolds, the last track is slow but is also growing on me, along with protect me from what I want.

I also highly recomend the LIVE IN PARIS 2004 (3?) DVD. It is great and introduced me to another song I really like, Special K.

This song is great and I have DL the song to fill the void until I get the earlier albums, but I seem to like the live version better (that happens to me when I discover a song from a live performance before the album version!)

I really reckon Placebo rock and am dissapointed they were here earlier in the year and I missed them and now they are breaking from there massive tour for a couple of years before they do it all again.

Yeah Placebo are great, even though they don't really aim their music at hippies like myself :)

I have all four of their cd's now and the greatest hits one as well... i'm a huge fan of their earlier stuff (like nancy boy) but their new stuff is fantastic as well. They have a really awesome amount of depth in their music... makes it really interesting to listen to.

Good to hear that there earlier stuff is good to. Cant wait to get them.

I noticed when watching the live DVD that Brian sings/plays guitar and I believe played keyboard maybe on 1 track.

The guitarist with the mo hawk plays guitar and bass, seems to switch between.

And then there is a drummer.

Now there is a bassist and keyboard player that are in the background but dont get any camera shots so I am guessing Placebo is a 3 piece and on there albums Brian Molko plays some guitar and the keyboards, Dummer drums and Mr Mo hawk playes the guitars and the bass and these 2 extras in the live shows just play at live gigs because they obviously cant play both instruments live.

Anyone know if thats what happens? Or are the 2 at the back just very unlucky and dont get any presence on the DVD but are part of the band??

No all three of them are in the band - Brian Molko is the lead singer/guitarist - correct... But the bassist (Stefan Olsdal) does backup vocals, and some piano/keyboards too. The drummer (Steve Hewitt) just plays a left-handed set up drum kit and does it very very well... There's often other people onstage playing other keyboards or an extra guitar... I saw them earlier this year and there was often 4 people on stage even though theres only 3 people in the band.... And Brian Molko does seem to get the majority of the attention but I guess he brings that onto himself, him being the way he is... :)

Yeah I knew there were 3 in the band, I meant the 2 extras outside of those 3, but thanks for more info on the band as I think they are great.

Special K rocks on the live in Paris DVD!
