Away we go...

Saints-Leeds tonight. It has been billed up to be the game of the season but I just get the feeling one of the teams may run away with it. Saints have been coasting recently and have just done enough to win games. Leeds have hit top form again recently and their defence looks unbeatable, BUT...

Leeds have now only played 2 times in 4 weeks and may be coming into this a little undercooked. Saints on the other hand will be aware of their dip and want to make up for the draw at home against Wigan.

If both teams play to their potential then it will be a toss of a coin by 1-4 points. My money though is with Saints by 14. I hope I am wrong because I will be ravelling across the pennines tonight to shout for the Rhinos but I rarely am. :D

I'm not sure the loser will feel too badly about their chances to earn a rematch. Perhaps they should be more scared, but I've a feeling they won't be.

So yeah I'm not sure this is going to be a tight one... and I think you're right that Saints will get it, but best of luck!

For Aussies these games are on TV as follows:
St Helens v Leeds is being shown live on Fox Sports Two between 4:30-7:00am Saturday, and on delay Saturday afternoon on Fox Sports Three between 2:00-3:30pm (9 hours delay).
Catalans v Wigan is being shown live on Fox Sports Three between 3:00-5:00am Sunday morning, and on delay Sunday evening on Fox Sports One between 7:00-8:30pm (16 hours delay).

In a paper today they had the results for the first ten years of playoffs and they showed that the team that lost the top 2 game still won 50% of GFs. So the question is does the week off work in your favour or against you? Obviously the stats prove it doesn't matter.

Serious? That's a bit rough if Fox Sports are advertising it as live, and then not following through... am watching the replay on FS now.

Can somebody have a word with whoever writes the recaps of the SL on this site - it consistently says "all the news from the North of England". I've raised this before.

Perpignan is the South of France, and one of the two games were played there this weekend.

It's no wonder we take criticism for being a game that's "only played in the North of England and on the East coast of Australia" when even the people writing for the websites are clueless.

I'm starting to realise why that Aussie player thought the Eiffel Tower was in London - he must be related to the guy who writes the SL items.

^ I'll have another word.

Big win to Wigan. I didn't see that coming... should be a tough game this weekend.

You'd think Leeds would have what it takes to win though, having been up there all season and Wigan having been up and down. But momentum is a funny thing.

The ignorance of Nothern Hemisphere RL in Australia is embarrassing... Even people who should know better (i.e. people who's job it is to be experts of our game) fall into the same trap.
