Player of the Season

Got really bored and tallied up the 3, 2, 1 threads the other day. Some threads are missing because they weren't made which I think skews the outcome a little bit and I didn't include votes that were half points or where they nominated more then one person for the same amount of points, unless the total points given added up to 6 anyway. I've probably made a mistake or twelve but these are the results I got.

Stapo: 400
Cordner: 159
RTS: 158
JWH: 140
Maloney: 105
SKD: 80
SST: 69
Pearce: 63
Aubusson: 63
Napa: 55
Moa: 51
Fergo: 44
Friend: 31
Jennings: 24
Evans: 24
Toops: 15
Liu: 14
Guerra: 12
Hastings: 8
Elliot: 2

I think the missed threads definitely impacted RTS' score as he was undoubtedly our best player this year. And there's still two more games so Cordner isn't quite the champ yet.

Who the heck is "Stapo"?!

As to the "missing threads", you will find they were for games we lost. I don't think any of us wanted to dwell on those which was why no threads were created.

Congratulations Stapo. A massive lost he is no longer with us next year. Jono Ford should be favourite for next year's award. :p

Wonder if there were 3 2 1s handed after our first loss to the Sharks. RTS was our best that day by some margin.

Have to think that if it wasn't for the off field issues, that SKD would have been further up there. He's been in great form.

Tough choice as we've had a few stand outs this year.

Cords has been immense the second half of the season.
JWH was in a league of his own before getting injured.
Maloney started slow but got into gear for the majority of 2015.
RTS has been a revelation.
SKD would have been Dally M centre of the year had he stayed on the field all season.
The Napariser, SST, Issac Liu, the list goes on.

I have a preference for pigs so I'll give it to Cords.

Chook.

I'd have to go RTS. Some of his stats are mind boggling. His running metres were almost 2000m more than any other NRL player in the comp.
