Players not up to state of Origin

Paul Gallen - he gave away 3 penalties last year, which led to 3 Maroon tries in the 2 games we lost. This year he threw a horrible, undiscipline pass on the first tackle, when we had the ball near the Maroon 20s, and 2 plays later, he did not move up and did not assist Gidley in the tackle and let in Maroon's first try

The guy is not a playmaker, he does not bend the offense line, his defense is average, he is a similar player then O'Donnel and NSW cannot afford ot have 2 back rowers who does not bend the line. He was a -20 in SOO2, which is the worst of any player (Qld was 24-4 when he was on the field)

His lack of discipline regularly costs NSW, until he fix up that part of his game, he is not up to Origin standard

Justin Poore - he is soft he does not bend the line for a front rower, he get hit and goes backward too often. He made a few error is not up to state of origin standard

Wallace - his kicking game is poor and he rarely finds the grass. His passing was inaccurate, he does not test the line, he is not up to state of Origin standard

Barrett - a very good defensive 5/8, his kicking game is not consistent, his bombs can land 5 in the ingoal, or 20 meter out, he throw his passes too far in front of the ball runners, gave a hospital pass to Creagh and gave another bad ball to Lyon

Robbie Farah - he is not a good kicker, too many of his kicks hits the fullback on the full, he takes too many steps from dummy half, often the forward has to slow down to wait for him to pass and the team end up going backwards, that pass which led to a try is shocking, his defense is average. He is just not up to SOO.

Wolfman - those 2 drop balls were horrible, he also kicked on the first tackle 20 metre out from Qld line, late in the game, he did not handle the presure of SOO.

Joel Monaghan - Too slow to be a SOO center, when Creagh made 2 half breaks, he was not backing up on Creagh shoulder which is where he should have been, was caught out on defense a few times. very ordinary game.

Robbie didn't have a good game but that is a load of bollocks.

He was the only one not shoving it down Slater's throat.

I am talking about the first 2 game, in the first he hit slater on the full twice on 35 metre kicks, I also watched the West-Parr game and his kicking was poor there too

Well, you were watching different games to the ones I watched.

Slater was getting convulsions from the ball being stuck in his throat, but it wasn't thanks to Robbie Farah.

Gidley is not Brent Stewart.

Williams was awful. McManus was probably better.

Lyon almost looks disinterested, which is no surprise.

Monaghan offered little- Jennings is the future.

Wallace was rubbish

Kite's past it

Farah didn't play the best.

Stewart had little impact.

i dont know why people are criticizing barrett so much personally i thought he was close to n.s.w best behind hayne and matmough . i guess this is why its a forum and everyone is entitled to there opinion .

I thought Poore was pretty average, but Brent Kite was far worse. I thought after being off for the best part of 40 mins that he might have had a big impact - but he was soft as ever. Was it just me, or did anyone else think that last nights game was the worse standard of origin game in a long time? There were so many basic errors from both sides, it was pretty frustrating to watch.

I just through his long passes was not very accurate, Creagh had to reach for one over his head, with defense coming at him and Lyon had to finger tip one that was way out in front of him.

In the first game Campese threw quick balls to Creagh who was able to dent the defense line a few times, he did not received many good balls from Barrett this time

mate i think if you watched the game again closely you would re think what you just said. Personally i thought his use of the outball and face ball was well used last night and comparing to the passes campese threw to creagh in game 1 you cant compare due to creagh running poor lines/angles all night last night . not once did any of the blues cut in to target the a defender.

Wallace should get the same stamp that Pearce has.. "Never to play Origin again", he was dreadful. Kite has nothing, Stewart is a toiler who won't ever do any damage at Origin level, Lyon should never have been chosen in the first place. Gallen needed to belt someone, Creagh wasn't given any decent ball, Farah looked tentative... etc etc etc.

The only one who looked dangerous all night was Hayne.

The selectors should be falling on their swords right about now...

williams - terrible, have said he is average all along. he made steve turner and james mcmanus look good out there.

monaghan - doesnt get involved, is happy to not do anything

glenn stewart - have stated for a long time he is average and offers nothing

brent kite - not made for origin, a big girl...

wallace - is a not half who can take control, he is not a person who can direct a team

farah - simply not made for origin, poor passing and to slow to think ( i thought he was gonna be the best player for nsw, prior to any games being played )

Gallen was not the worst player out there, although someone said it was his worst game he's ever played... I tend to agree.

Wallace should never play SOO ever again. Farah was just terrible.

Poore went missing, Kite was a powder puff, williams ugh!

The only reason we got close to them was the fact that qld (without inglis) was not much better.

Can I add Craig Bellamy to the list?

Along with the selectors?

Given the quality of backrow options I can understand why CB and the selectors were tempted to go in with only three front rowers ... but then the game plan seemed to undermine the move completely.

Did anyone else notice that Weyman went off after 14-odd minutes? Kite wasn't far behind.

O'Donnell played almost 40 minutes as a prop ... and was NSW's best prop in terms of quality and value.

If CB hadn't tried the same crap with Fitzgibbon last year I might have chalked it up to a brainfart, but he's repeating crazy mistakes.

When were NSW most effective in Game 1? When they started to work over Queensland with direct and purposeful dummy half running ... ultimately with two dummyhalves working in tandem. I didn't see much of that last night.

NSW were lucky to be in the match at all, and only were so because of ballsy displays of skill by Hayne (he would have been a villain if they didn't come off but the kid's confidence is through the roof).

Last night was the worst game I've ever seen Farah play. He seemingly can't pass from right to left. I don't know if that is due to injury (ribs) or something else, but I couldn't believe what I saw when he threw the ball two metres in front of Barrett on our line, leading to Lockyer's try (with an assist from Creagh screwing around trying to pick it up instead of jumping on it ... the ball wasn't a hand grenade after all).

Very disappointing game, as many have already said.

It's time for Wallace to get his marching orders. Last night proved that they dropped the wrong half from Game 1, in my opinion.

even kimmorley would be an improvement on Wallace, or Orford, or Campese, or Soward, or Anasta (well maybe not Anasta)

On this, Glenn Stewart is not a player to sit on the bench and come on and take hitups. He sits on the rights and is a very cleaver link between the halves and the backs. He is being wasted on the bench. Play him at lock or not at all.

And hopefully after 4 years it is finally known that Choc Watmough is the perfect Origin forward. Tough, quick, passionate, aggressive.
