Playing standards

It seems playing standards have been very high over the weekend, just reading some comments on various messge boards the Leeds/Bradford game was high on intensity and quality while apparently the Saints/Wigan was also a pulsating game, hopefully we'll get to see both next friday on foxtel.

I think playing standards amongst the top 4 (Leeds, Bradford, Saints, Wigan) have improved this season and very shortly they will be reaching their peak for the season. So far, for me, Danny Mguire is man of steel (although it is still too early to say). He has been brilliant so far, and deserves a place in the GB squad.

The likes of Hull and Warrington aren't quite there yet and will improve greatly within the next few weeks.

Then the rest of the teams need to put some wins together to ensure they avoid getting pulled into a relegation battle.

Should be interesting.

The standards are up across the league as a whole. Teams like Huddersfield, Hull, Wakefield etc are now realistically capable of beating teams like Saints, Leeds and Bradford anywhere.

Finaly the smaller clubs are spending more wisely and are using much better structure to close the gap, it's just a pitty it's taken this long.
