PNG PM’s 13 named

By HENRY MORABANG

THE PNGRFL selectors have named two overseas-based players in the PNG Prime Minister’s Xlll team to take on the visiting Australian Prime Minister’s XIII side in Port Moresby next Sunday in Port Moresby.
The selectors headed by Arnold Krewanty named Keith Peters of Penrith Panthers as five-eighth and Leroy Day (England) as one of the front rowers in the new-look PNG side to play the visitors as part of the 30th Independence anniversary celebration.

this will show how much the professional sp cup has brang sport.
but would have liked to have seen these other overseas players in side
ricky sibya(cyldedales), steve franciscus(raiders), mark azum(hull kr), tom o reily (pia domkeys) john wilshire(leigh) & marcus bai.
at full strength with overseas stars would be competitive, much like first two tri series games bad timiming.

err Stanley Gene?

Quite disapointing too see that they could only get 2 overseas players over, but indeed it will show how the SP Cup went.

Surprised that Paul Aiton wasn't selected seeing as he played against the Junior Kanger's last year

Winnyason,
Im fairly certain Steve Franciscus is no longer with the Raiders. He was mentioned as being a real chance of playing NRL with the club this year though never appeared in any Premier League or NRL line up.
On another note Kevin Prior, formerly playing in the second row for Souths Logan in the Queensland Cup, is now playing prop for the Wentworthville Magpies who just won the DDP Cup Parramatta A-Grade competition.

the question is where the hell is he now seems he did not even play sp cup.

hey mono mal, i was speking to kevin prior and he was contacted about the possibility of playing in the game, but the png side was to only contain 4 overseas based players to test the strength of their national comp. that is why it is not the kumuls, just a pm13 side as well.
