I don’t get it at all, it’s a hell of a lot of responsibility for someone grossly unqualified for the job. He wouldn’t even know what he doesn’t know.

Yeh not surprised he walked away from the Perth job

He will get png a lot of good publicity

“Privately, the Chiefs are talking a good game. They tell me players have already reached about joining them because their wages are tax-free. It’s something Chammas will benefit from, too: he’s taken a pay cut to join PNG but the tax incentives will mean he’s making more than he ever did at Nine.“

Those tax incentives are going to work a treat. Unlike the bears they will find it easier to put a team together

They really should target Brad Arthur he’s better than jd or lam

So he is not taking a pay cut if the tax incentives will result in him making more money. He is getting a pay rise. It's simple maths.

Is PVL ensuring only people he trusts are appointed to key roles in case the proverbial hits the fan? You have the Chair of the PNG bid team and subsequent director of the club resign due to allegations of corruption, Ray Dib the inaugural chair of the club resign/pushed and Andrew Hill as CEO resign to join Penrith. All within about 12 months of getting a licence. And now a journalist with no obvious management experience for the role of GM of Football.

I wonder if Air Niugini will increase the 19 weekly flights they currently have serving Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns.

Qantas will be increasing from 7 flights to 9 by adding to additional direct flights between Port Moresby and Sydney starting next Month in March.

I'm pretty sure the traffic will only increase as it starts getting closer to 2028.

Couldn’t open the article and yeh foreign companies investing in png is good but it would be better if local firms could be doing that and keeping the profits themselves

This team should benefit png as much as possible possible and not foreign companies if it can be avoided
