Points Difference Letting us Down

Heres the teams on 8 points:

P W D L B P/D PTS

8 Storm 8 3 0 5 1 58 8
9 Cowboys 8 3 0 5 1 -6 8
10 Knights 8 4 0 4 0 -15 8
11 Wests Tigers 8 3 0 5 1 -38 8
12 Sharks 9 4 0 5 0 -54 8

From this you can see that our P/D is really letting us down, we have one of the best win - loss records in this group of teams on 8 points only beaten by Knights who have not played yet but should lose to the bulldogs. Additionally, all other teams have had a bye and we have not. For this reason it was a bit disappointing to see our boys give away two late tries yesterday when we need to work on getting some big wins up. This is not the first time either, against the Eagles we gave away some late tries and against the Raiders we also gave some late tries. If this was not the case we could have been at least 8th not consdiering those losses to Souths and Cowboys. We need to rack up some big wins, mayb we could start against the roosters....... :D

It's a little disturbing but I'm not overly worried by it at the moment.
We have the Rooters next week and if we can maintain this sort of form we should avoid a flogging, and are a chance for a win. So it shouldn't blow out there.

Then we've got Manly and Souths. That's when we should improve the for and against.

We've got Manly in a couple of weeks, so that could be a good chance to "cash in".

I was thinking that to. Our aim should be to TRY to beat the upcoming sides in Roosters etc but essentially we must keep the scoreline close. Then as we play the poorer sides we start to work away at that big difference. Good to see however that even with unlucky losses against Bulldogs, Souths and Cowboys we are still nearly in the top 8.

I said it before this could be a problem for us but what it really has to come down to is were probably going to have to get an extra win on the teams in and around us. We have given away way to many points early and unless the other teams really cop a flogging we aren't going to beat teams on for and against. It's an absoloute miracle that teams haven't really kicked away from us we had a shit start to the year hopefully we can really kick away from teams like Newcastle and the storm soon.

I believe we are actually where we deserve to be.
Besides the broncos & dogs, I think the ladder is a fair indication of form.
Broncos because they should be on top & dogs because they should have lost 2 or 3 other matches.
In regards to cashing in,...famous last words.
I beleive we are more of a chance of beating the Roosters than the Eagles at Brooky. & both NQLD & Souths played very well against us.

A win is a win, forget F/A

Totally agree they didn't win they butchered us so saying we were unlucky and the like is of the mark. We seem to lift for the big games and drop for the lesser games Eagles are prooving to be no walk over esp with Walker in there side. Roosters are far from there best and dont seem as good as they once were. Actually we probably could be a place or 2 behind were we actually are in my opinion but im happy.

Only us and Kinghts havent had one out of that group, so the rest have been lucky enough to get free points in byes. Its a long time until we get a bye as well, we need to rack some good wins up and then the bye will help us continue our way up the ladder.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. We need to concentrate on winning the games before concerning ourselves with the F/A averages.

The F/A is not pretty for us, and it could come back to haunt us come the end of the season, but we need to get wins on the board otherwise the F/A is irrelevant anyway.
