KKxx yes, AAxx no.

Actually it depends on the xx

A hand such as A-A-J-10 double suited is very strong, while A-A-7-3 is trash.

Or in Omaha8 you're looking at A-A-2-3 double suited as a great starting hand and again something like A-A-5-9 is complete rubbish.

You can set mine with them but you don't want to be going to war with those trashy hands.

The question didn't ask us to consider the value of 'xx', KKxx is overrated, AAxx isn't. It's a strong hand that can be stronger/weaker depending on the other two cards/suits as you illustrate.

Not really needing the lesson on PLO or NLHE champ but thanks anyway. I caught the poker bug as with most after the Moneymaker win. I am a winning cash game player at both NLHE and PLO as well as a long term subscriber to Cardrunners.

All the best in your poker endeavours people.

Well mate the value of xx is directly proportionate to the value of the hand.

And at the end of the day, a hand such as A-A-7-3 is basically good for set mining and nothing more.

Save the lessons for others mate. I politely decline.

I'm not trying to give you a lesson mate - try not to be so sensitive.

Just answering watatank's question by pointing out to the very important fact that there is a massive difference in pre-flop equity between an A-A-J-10ss hand and an A-A-7-3 unsuited hand.

I think we have misinterpreted each other's posts or at least the tone.

It's all good. Best of luck!

whoa didn't think that question would result in so many replies!

yeah i'm not too great at omaha, tend to overplay AAxx and KKxx (AAxx more so) far too often. hardly play it though, holdem's easier
