Feel sorry for these guys. Could have been playing for the 2010 premiership instead they've already commenced their off-season. Hopefully seeing their old sides do well will give them some inspiration for next year.
Any half-back signing news? Please? Anyone?

I actually had the same thought about Poore the other day considering he's been a dragon all his life and the year he leaves they're actually genuine contenders and are peaking at the right time.

He is going to have a huge could've should've would've moment if dragons win this year, as will Shackleton if Roosters win.

Unfortunately I can't see Parra winning one anytime soon. I am in my 30's so hopefully it will happen again in my lifetime. Fingers crossed.

 considering they could pay my new 30 year mortgage off in 2, my sympathy for them doesn't stretch very far.

I'm with you. I said to my 11yo at the GF last year - take it all in little buddy cos we might not get back here again until your married with kids and I'm in a rocking chair down on the farm.

He didn't think I was serious !

Poore was rubbish for most of the year and Shackleton got paid to do nothing at all.

How can you feel sorry for these blokes? let's harden up a bit hey.

i'm pretty sure Shack busted his arse rehabing to make an earlier than usual return if needed for a finals run .... but hey maybe rehabing from extremely bad injuries is easier these days than when i was young

I actually bumped into Shack on Wednesday arvo and he and Pele were about to head for a run in Parra Park. He more or less said there is no rest for him, even tho it is the off season!

I thought I saw him at the club at about 11am on that day.

Shacks pretty lucky this year.
Getting paid to train his ass off, I wouldn't mind that as well, however lazy I may be.
Hope he shines next year, not holding my breath on a good start though.
