Positional changes over origin

That's what I'd assume would happen - Depends on how Grevs fits with the game plan in the end I suppose.[/QUOTE]

Forgot about him. Grevs is pretty big but I'd love someone like Leota for a wrecking ball type.

Now that its confirmed I just want to say how surprised (and happy) I am that Moylan is the starting blues fullback. Let's hope he makes a fist of it.

Peachey is not a center he is in the top 10 missed tackles in the nrl. Yeo to center Peachey back row

Never been a fan of make shifts, never have been never will be. It may work for a game or two but not for the long haul. Peachy is not a centre. Utility/Back Row is his position full stop.

So we played someone with an existing injury? If that's true, it's in the same boat as the Whare incident.

The Test was 16 days before Hiku was injured. It must have been an extremely minor medial strain as he played in Christchurch the following weekend and appeared completely unimpeded. Waqa Blake was available for the Titans match but played reserve grade.

You did see the Hiku incident? It would have mattered not if he was playing with an injury. But if he wasn't 100%, you'd think Blake would have played instead.

I am seriously over the whole medical/rehab/support staff to blame for our injury woes thing.

Injury happen we need to get over it.

This is the only Panthers Origin thread, so I'll post this here.
Gus has written an article on Moylan and Mansour. A bit biased and self serving maybe but a good read. It's an interesting look into our development system.

"On April 29, 2013, Matt Moylan, a Penrith local junior who played for St Clair Comets in St Patrick's Blacktown, made his first-grade debut at fullback for the Panthers against Parramatta. The Panthers won that game and Moylan was man of the match.

In 2014 Matt was spearheading the Panthers in their fairytale run towards a final-four finish in the NRL competition. Just 18 months after his first-grade debut he was rewarded with a spot in the Australian Four Nations squad at the end of that season. On June 1, 2016, after 57 NRL games for the Panthers, Matt Moylan will run onto ANZ Stadium as the NSW fullback."

I'm not sure what we're supposed to take from that story. A retelling of history with a little fantasy and a lot of bullshit thrown in.

Moylan was a star in our 20's team and never struggled in NSW Cup. When Gould and Cleary were telling him he was free to look elsewhere a large group of us had already been calling for him to be playing first grade for over a year. The fact a heavy injury toll to the side was the only reason he made his eventual debut is a very poor reflection on all those involved in talent identification for our club at the time.

Mansour wasn't some unknown junior when we signed him. Most of the Souths supporters were in disbelief that they let him go, and told us he would be a star. Guess they knew better than those employed by their club too.

Well, he is a media personality. Selective memories and clichés aside, at least we know his agenda. This pretty much sums it up-
"The people who have the experience, knowledge and a history of developing young footballers should be the ones sitting on the committees deciding the future development pathways for our game. Not people who are simply looking at the bottom line from a cost-saving perspective. The NRL is on the wrong track here."

Gus used to say on Channel 9 that Moylan didn't hit his straps until he played NSW Cup, up against men. That's a bit different to the story we're hearing here.
