For mine, Scotland were another dissapointment on the whole, though did show some promise.
I was hoping for some starch in defence and some sparkle in attack, and on the whole got neither.
Stars: I liked Danny Brough overall. He had some ups and downs, but he tried hard and kept putting himself about. Iain Morrison was consistently good, and for mine was close to Scotlands best. He was everywhere and played with heart. Oliver Wilkes I thought also tried hard, and Mick Nanyn showed something as well, though I thought performed better off the bench. Hooker Henderson was solid.
Disappointments: Robertson was a complete flop. From game 1 to game 3 he was terrible, I dont understand why he was persevered with at FB. Another who failed to impress me was Duffy. I thought he looked poor at 5/8 in the first 2 games, and then he was abysmal at halfback in the last game.
McCormack? Dont know..... I was surprised he stuck with Robertson, and I would have liked to have seen Paddy Coupar get more than 20 minutes game time in the final.
