And we were only slightly better against St George even though we won.
We have gone all in when we clearly needed change. As supporters we will, as always, back up as long as we draw breath. Thats a given. We live in hope but most of us are realists.
Another failed year from an average team. Poor defence, poor chase, and mid field bombs will never transform our team. Very hard to see success when we show no improvement year to year regardless of who wears the B&G. BAs presser probably says it all.
Go Parra.
Only Parra re-signs their coach after a 54 point hammering. Last night was just a case of same old same old. The writing was on the wall when we got destroyed by a plodder like Levi. And nothing have changed in a month we were just as bad last night.

Cowboys are now 3/4 with JT playing.
He went off against Brisbane after 30 mins when still in that game.
They also pushed Souths last week.

We saw how Rooster struggled when missing Cordner and Friend.
We where missing 4 of our starters. And important guys. MJ and Brown are two of our most experienced guys and game breakers.

What a f**king stupid and dumb football team we are.

We had defended so well and held them out and Gennings goes and throws that low percentage pass out of our own end, wtf?

Every time we turned them away and defended well, the next set we go and drop it and invite all that pressure back on us needlessly. It's like they don't want to win.

And the thing that is starting to become very apparent and alarming is why does every away game end up the same? Lack of possession, Non stop on line defence, Awful middle defence, Getting destroyed in the ruck, Letting the other team roll through us, No slowing the play the ball down? Every f**king game that is away plays out the same. Why is that the case? That just shows how deep our issues run, we cannot turn the tide, we cannot stem the flow and we simply do not know how to win, we know how to lose and we do it well.

We are a f**king dumb dumb dumb football team, no other team would have lost that like we did, because let's be clear, the Cowboys were terrible.

We are shot and we do not have the mental capacity or strength to bounce back, it's within our DNA and it's coming through again now.

They gave me hope for 9 weeks, but like Parra always do, they turn to shit.

Yes i maybe going on or going into meltdown, but it's the truth it always ends the same with us.

I disagree.
We lost 2 games I expected to lose. And one was a flip of coin with 4 of our starters missing.
The Storm game you just need to forget about.
We have Panthers then Souths. I am confident we will win both. Let's just hope we have our Browns back after that and we can then push for a strong run home.

I thought we were no better than last week, the Cows offered almost zero. Our ruck defence, line speed, wrestle are hopeless.

Watch us play Penrith back into form on Thursday.

Tbh, I agree.

The Cowboys were awful - the only thing they did well was smash out 70-80m per set.

But when the last tackle came, they made stupid plays.

The Cowboys were abysmal and still won.

I just don't understand why there was no "fire" last night; after getting pantsed by conceding 60 points, I would have expected the team to come out with a point to prove.

The effort was there, but stupid errors and lazy defence (indicators of a lack of mental application, imo) cost us yet again.

I keep telling myself that I shouldn't expect to much from this middle-of-the-road team, but I don't think that expecting these blokes to show some passion in the jersey is asking too much, surely?

Or kick chase was abyssmal. If we bomb, when its not an attacking kick, , we should bomb to the left side. They seem more eager to chase. The rhs are plodders on kick chases

Re the stripping rule: it’s not a precedent that was set, they changed the rule. And it’s a good change. It is not a penalty. If there is only one left in the tackle you can strip the ball. Weak merkins need to show some strength and a bit of will to want to maintain possession. It was embarrassing that it happened to us twice. Embarrassing but not surprising.

I thought they should have been penalised as there were still 2 in the tackle when the strip was initiated on a couple of occasions

Lose the next and signing BA is going to feel very very hollow.
This is a huge 14days. Buckle boys.

Already the question needs to be asked why would the club buckle and sign him after the Melbourne humiliation. Was it just a case of BA accepting an already tabled deal because he realised he isnt very good? In which case at least he would be on a small dollar contract.
The big problem BA has is the players don't have any respect for him because he is soft. He is like a dad to these players.

Not sure if this was posted before, but after the Gennings brain snap, Jake Glanville gathered up the ball and then played the ball the the try scorer Opacic ...

Why should we have won in Newcastle and Townsville? It's a very even comp and both teams are strong, especially when they're fired up off the back of a few losses.

Against Newcastle all we had to do was be as up for it as they were. But typical of teams coached by BA we were not up for it and took 30minutes to get into the game. By then it was over.
The cowboys are not a good team this year. They are basically declining and will be rebuilding shortly.
The reason we lost these games is that coach Arhtur does not do away wins or getting the team up for games. Those are things he just does not do.
