We’re definitely short edge forwards. Cartwright can do freakish things - unfortunately in both directions.
Tuilagi can be a great runner but there are definitely lacking parts of his game.
Then our bench coverage for them are Lane, Matterson & Moretti all of who are more middles.

I'd still be pretty shocked if Gutho doesn't start round 1 next year at FB. I do think naturally throughout 2025 the transition to Iongi will happen though.

14 would be Guthos next best suitable position imo but the dude just won our player of the year again, it just feels potentially counter-productive not having him on the field for the 80. I don't love him in the centres full time, I don't think he's athletic enough. Playing a loose forward sort of role I think would be great from an attacking point but I don't know how we would handle the defensive load.

Anyways that's Big Jase's call... I'm sure it will all play out over the off-season.

The junior SOO half who didn’t want to leave but waited and waited for an offer from a much too busy recruitment team who believed he wouldn’t leave and would get around to it ( he won junior player of the year in the Parra district) , then were amazed when Roosters pounced as nothing came from the Eels.
