Newtown will be huge underdogs going in against a Canberra side bolstered by NRl stars coming down a grade. The Bluebags have to send some campaigners up to Cronulla. It will be a tough ask.

I expect the other games to go with form.

Jets are definately the underdogs. SCOTT, CIRALDO, Cliff MANUA, and KINGSTON all either playing NRL or the bench. ( or late omitted and playing on the spectatot bench as wont make it to canberra for the game ). Frank SAMIA out for the season.

Jets have Jim Beam players throughout their side and bench. Canberra are definately the solid favourites.

Jets travelling down at 8am, gettin off the bus 2 hours prior to kickoff, and understrength, against a Canberra side full of 1st graders.

SHART !!!!!

****Will still be there yellin me guts out, but it's backs against the wall and its not even game day yet. !!!!****

I think Newtown have the stronger playing squad. I tipped Newtown because Canberra is a tough place to play.

I don't know how you can say Canberra's team is full of NRL players. They only have 4 or 5. Newtown have more.

On my count, both sides have 6 players with first grade experience:

Milne, Mundine, Ale, Campese, Carney and Rothery for the Raiders

Merritt, McGoldrick, Mellars, Aitken, Stosic and Isemonger for the Jets

Parramatta won 52-16 over Newcastle.

Canterbury and Newcastle are now out. Parramatta and Sydney City get the week off.

I think next week is Canberra vs. Manly and St George Illawarra vs. Newtown

You're right about the fixtures girvie.

God effort from the Jets, one of the best displays all year. They'll only get better with the return of Cronulla NRL players.
