A good win for the boys and ensured of another week in the finals.
The Eels are consecutive defending premiers in the competition and showed that seventh place was not a fair depiction of their ability.
A score line of 22-6 at half time confronted the team as they left the field. However the game was still yet to be won by either team with Parramatta allowing themselves to falter in the second half.
A much more physical second half saw emotions run wild resulting in the two teams coming together and exchanging blows. From that exchange the Eels were down a man and the Panthers began the task of clawing their way back. It proved to be too great and they will now need to regroup in time for a sudden death game next week.
