Going to the game with my Bulldogs mad sisters, with the rest of my Family being Bulldogs mad also, this is the match that decided supremacy in our family for the next year.
Our play early was actually quie good. Both sids suffered from handling errors but we had the territorrial advantage for the most part of the opening 10 minutes. Then it all started...

Then we bomebed 2 tries in a row. The first with Donald on a break was sure to score running down the wing IMO definately had enough power to get past the Bulldogs defender(he was about 2 metres out) but past, it was a shocker, Menzies fumbled went back and we somehow regained the ball. Grimaldi was sent off as the tackl was a High one I think, not really sure but it was a professional foul whatever happened. From that penalty on the set we went wide and shoulda scored but Watmough lost the ball over the line
. It may have been knocked out at which it shoulda been a penalty, but it was a tough call.
2 soft tries followed by Andrew Ryan and Asotasi. Man that guy is a tank! I was watcing him and some of the tackles he made we huge and sthe size of him is unbearable. Then we broke Thurstons leg.
Not long after, about a minute there was a scare as Walker went down but he was back up and hobbling a minute later and a few minutes later was back up and running.
The half time Hooter went and it was 16-0 and I was begining to regret all I said about 35-0 as I was worried this'd end up 40-0 or something and I'd never here the end of it. Fortunately just half time we finally got over the line and didn't bomb it. Watmough made up for his earlier stuff up by being first to score. We got the kick to make it 16-6 and we were back in it.
Bulldogs looked to have the mat ughen Hazem el Masri scored and converted to make it 22-6. With 25 to go it was slipping away before some spectacular football let u s score 3 tries in the space of 5 minutes. 2 Tries to Donald and one to Menzies. Donald's first was under the and we were back in the hunt. Walker missed what should've been an easy kick and this could have cost us the match.
Some great passing led to Menzies, where from the kick off we got downfield using some preety good runs and a penalty followed by back chat by the Bulldogs. Froom the kick off Donald was away again, and he ran the length of the field to score, Walker Converted and baby we wereback and the scores were even at 22 all.
Our defense then let us down as Lolesi ran the length of the field to score and El Masri converted to make it 28-22 with 13 to go. With 10 remaining Hazem El Dickhead who is meant to be the best in the world at kicking tuffed up a Penalty kick which would have finished the contest. But n he missed.
We had some good territory and blew a crtain try with a shocking pass that went out but we inally got oeh 1:30 to go on the clock but it was off to the video ref. It was so close to the sideline and his hand and ball appeared to be simultanious but it also looked as if the ball had gone down first and on benifit of the doubt I'm sure; the try was awarded. Walker had the kick with about 30 seconds to go. He lined it up and the kick looked like it was going in till it swung away the last second. Dejectetly I fell to the ground, and my sister jumped for joy.
But the kickoff was still to come. From the kickoff we ran 20 metres and it was 2 on 1 on the wing and we tried to chip past them, we fumbled, Bulldogs got hold of it and and it out.
A great effort by the boys tonight but now I have to wait till Round whatever to get my revenge. Oh the pain!
