Yakstorm says the NRL isn’t expecting much more than 5-10,000.

Typical moronic decision making by the NRL. Put the PMXIII on at Suncorp, but put the Pacific Tests on at Campbelltown lol

It’ll be interesting to see if PNG use this as a WC warm up and pick their strongest side available or give more Hunters and Digicel Cup players a run.

Regarding Aus, Max King has said he wants to play for England but I guess this game doesn’t rule him out of doing so in the future.

Born there, with an English mother and lived there for until he was 7 going by what I’ve read. He’s definitely worth a look for a squad spot at least, England just lost one of their best front rowers for the tournament as well.

Why isn't it being played in PNG?
Because the NRl have organised it. we dont play internationals in the actual country of the team if we can help it lol
Surprised it isnt at Campbelltown or some other suburban dump.

Interesting mix, any idea what the criteria/thinking was? Seems basically a QLD Cup select side but missing a few from the mid-year test like Derby & Alick.

Would have been good to see a few more Digicel Cup players get a run.

Not sure what the thinking was to be honest. Not sure why Derby and Alick were not included. And I think Liam Horne and Jedidiah Simbiken are playing in the QLD Cup Grand final.

And the Digicel Cup Grand Final is also this weekend, therefore the better and inform players are just not available this week.

Have confirmation now that Derby is out for the year with an injury along with Solo Wane. Hence the need for 2 new wingers.

Bailey Biondi-Odo from the Bulldogs was supposed to have been picked at halfback in place of Lachlan Lam but he has also been ruled out now with an injury.

No word on Alick yet but I got the feeling that the Team was finalised before the Burleigh's were knocked out of the QCup competition.

Cheers, shame a few injuries are coming up hopefully they can go in to the World Cup close to full strength.
