problems with international edition...

So excited that my PC finally let me download IE...was really excited to finally get it. Twas a little disappointed on 2 counts because;

(A) I created myself as a player to put into a team. Creating a player was fine but when it came to editing the team to put myself in ther game shut down and went back to my windows desktop; and
(B) I can't add any of my custom jerseys that I downloaded (Crushers, Jets, Bears) to the data\strips directory. When creating a team whenevr I select a jersey it gets to a point where it yields the same result as count (A).

Pardon my ignorance on this matter. I read something about not being able to edit competitions but didn't think this meant teams or custom comps. Can anyone help me out with this?

yeah i found a problem with the database while working on IE 2.0

the problem is a missing player ID smack bang in the middle of the player.db file cuasing the game to bomb out.

pm your email address and i will send you the db file and we will see if it resolves it.

i should update the install package for it.

you can edit the customs comps to a certain degree but i shall work on a better fixture editor for this.

in the instructions have always recommended using the editor to create new teams and assign jerseys there but i have fix for it ingame that i will sort out tonight when i get in.

the only bugs reported were two fixture bugs when it was released mid april and as far as i know no one has been complaining of any problems otherwise i would be quick to pick up on it and sort it out. So either you've missed its release date or i've missed out on all the "bug reporting" peopel have been doing. this relates to customising teams so if you want to play it install it and play it and uninstall it if you don't. the game will run and unfortunately something must have slipped in last minute. The installer/deinstaller is working fine so you've no reason not to try it as it takes zero effort to do. with over 300 new players and 20 teams pushing the boundaries of the game there's bound to be glitches, but this isn't a simple update patch providing some team performance boosts.

Just a question, with the installer/reinstaller thing - at first there was a problem with saved games when switching back and forth, is that still an issue as I have 5 comps going at the moment and dont wanna stuff em.

it never was an issue for me, manually back up your save games if you are paranoid but i have failed to replicate any save game problem with the uninstaller.

if you want to test, install the game again to another location on the hard disc, install IE and then copy over your current save games and check they load.

i won't deny IE isn't fool proof because its an ambitious game hack but i've tried to the best i could in the time and for most people they've found the addon to be an enjoyable addition, besides, i've not been inundated with pms about problems.

the superleague fixtures still aint 100%.
i tried correcting them but its a real pain in the neck.
don't know how you do it.
