Channel Nine's Footy Show had the propaganda machine running overtime just then.

I don't like Hadley one bit, but the Footy Show are just as bad and more than transparent in their intentions. The whole segment was directed at Hadley.

What pathetic television.

And for those of you who say...."well don't watch it"............ I won't be.
I only did cause Hindy was on.
Pity he was sucked into their shit.

They made one mention of "media outlets" giving it to Brian Smith unnecessarily...yeah they meant R*y H*dley, but I'd hardly say the whole thing was directed at him.

let me first say i do like hadley but ur right it was all about havin a go these petty little fools should get over themselves but i dont think u should boo your own team

I Like what you say most of the time and the way that you say it, but don't be so naive. Every single question was lame and slanted towards a positive answer for Parra.

Call it propoganda if u want, but it wasn't a R*y H*dley bashing....u want to see/hear a bashing - listen to that goose on the weekends - he picks a topic and him and his buddies go on like a bunch of nut cases about it - they censor any opposition to R*y's opinion to try to make it look like everyone agrees with him....his show is a never ending ego trip.

The footy show is a joke - virtually nothing but stupidity these days and yes they hate H*dley (like most people who were once his friends/collegues) - but that segment was not solely aimed at him.....it was Hindy trying to reassure people that things will get better (lets hope he's right).

I hope he's right too, but, the petty little Footy Show boys could not help themsleves and have a dig at Hadley.
Like I said, I don't like Hadley either, but they are just as bad.
Teenagers....the lot of them.

Its just a shame Hindy got caught up in it. I just wished he'd done his 56 tackles on all the guys sitting behind the desk. Then that dribble wouldn't be on for a few weeks.

I think it was great for Hindy to go on TV and talk about it - he's under pressure, he's doing a shitload for our team, he's taking some flack for having a go at the fans the other day and HE IS NOT ONE WHO LIKES THE PUBLIC EYE....yet he goes on the show to try and show the bitching public that he and the players support Brian.

Maybe its propaganda from the Parramatta club?...call it that if you want, but I think its about time they fought back against all the bitching, rumours and lies being spread.

Yes, the footy show guys are stupid getting involved with a tit-for-tat match with H*dley, but H*dley has that going with just about EVERY person he has ever worked with - you've gotta think the guys got some problems if NO ONE ends up liking him.

I don't think it was aimed at Hadley in particular, just about everyone in the media is having a go at Brian Smith and Parramatta at the moment, it just makes for a good story. I only flicked channels any by chance saw them interviewing Hindy. I think they asked some questions that needed to be asked, in an attempt to reassure us fans and get us supporting them again. That's all that was in it.

I've got no doubt few people like Hadley.

There's no doubt Hadley has an agenda agaisnst the Footy Show.

But tonight was so obvious. Maybe I am too cynical, and if I am, I apologise if it taints my views. But I didn't see that interview as anything other than a "We love Brian Smith" promotion. There was no objectiveness in any of their questioning. Sure there were questions that we all would like to ask, but they were prepared, as were the answers that were given. Hence, my suggestion of propaganda.

Yeah I agree they were backing Brian Smith - no doubt....the footy show is not about serious discussion....Mark Geyer was the only one in recent times to really give someone a spray on the footy show.....the rest of em are too carefully not saying anything bad to ask any real hard questions - they are obviously directed by Channel 9 and the NRL to not stir the pot.

But I have no problem with em sticking up for Brian Smith and Parramatta - about frickin time someone in the media did - at least they didn't jump on the witch hunt bandwagon and dream up some more "Hindy wants to leave garbage".

Thats a strange statement. They could have stuck the boot in and Hindy would have had every right to reply. Why would you think otherwise?

You almost seem disappointed that they didn't get stuck into Parra like many other media outlets have. I didn't watch the show, but given the recent run of bad press that Parra's had, I would think that anything showing the club in a positive light would be welcome.

I kinda half agree with Suity in so much as it was a bit staged managed and there was a definte agenda to have a go at Hadley, but I can hardly blame them for that. If Hadley wasn't bagging Smith so much I believe they would have taken a different tack.

Anyway the upshot of it all was that I found myself agreeing with Sterling regarding Smith's poor recruitment decisions and not sacking a coach mid season. However I do strongly believe Smith should move on at years end and should NOT be involved in player recruitment this year.

If i were the footy show i would have got stuck into Parramatta, if Dennis wants to be a moron then why should they defend his club!!!!!!!

I am not a fan of the footy show because you can see they are too scared to be critical of the game, fox sports on the other hand say whatever they want and criticise whoever they want..........i know what i would rather watch......

I don't remember hearing Hadley's name mentioned. They were providing balance to the media, as there have been many media outlets having a go at Parra. If you think that it was just an anti-Hadley segment, that's just a reflection that he is one of the most outspoken anti-Smith people in the media and it also reflects your own obsession with Hadley.

The Footy Show was in support of Hindy and Smith, and was giving Hindy an opportunity to air his views... views which the Footy Show supports. Fatty came out saying that he thinks Smith is a very good coach. I think you're a little obsessed when you automatically start to equate pro-Smith with anti-Hadley.

By the way, IMO, the most insightful question they asked was about how Smith is as a coach, eg. more relaxed. As supporters, we only see a tiny little bit of what Smith does as a coach, yet so many of us think we know what's wrong with his coaching. I have a lot of faith in Hindy's word when it comes to what goes on out of the public view.

Whilst it was good for those fans who spoke on the show to say get behind the team and so on but if I had the chance I would have said that my biggest problem wasn't that we are losing but HOW we are losing and try and get Hindy to respond in that light.

The other thing was that there were no questions asked of Hindy from the fans but affirmations of getting behind the team in their darkest hour (not that there is anything wrong with that). You can't answer affirmations!!!

I also would have said that it was insulting to have Hindy pulling 54 tackles and 19 hit ups after an origin 5 days previous.....but it's not about questioning ones' work ethic that seems to come so naturally.
