I hope they are wrong but I'm not getting excited just yet - I reckon by around round 10 we will know how the full season will go.

The people saying that were probably the same ones that were tipping the Cowboys to do great things this year.
They can say what they effin want, the truth is that we have won 2 from 2.
We can only beat who we have in front of us. Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves ( I don't think many of us are, btw), but there are not many fans who's team is 2 from 2.
I'd guess the ones telling us to pull our heads in are on 0, or 2 points. Suck it up, ladies !!!

It at least shows that we are considerable better than the wooden spoon contenders which most "experts" were prediciting us to be.

how much we can contend for the top 8 is still up in the air

I haven't seen a single tigers fan beating their chest over results yet. Neither are the players.

Realistically if we get to round 24 and are still in with a shot at the 8 it will be a successful year as far as I'm concerned

Happy to have 4 points in the bank at this point.

All I really want to see is consistent effort. That should get us there or there abouts

If you consider the injuries and the position we ended up last season, than if the team can stay healthy we may than hover around the bottom of the 8 or most likely just outside it this season.

This.

The whole 'March premiers' routine is the exclusive domain of a different club. A strong showing or a win this week might bring a few out of the woodwork though.

This is the big if for season 2015...

Their squad of top 20 players is in that team 7-10 range....

They slip below that level if injuries consistently force them to bring in 5 or 6 players a week outside that
top 20...

Totally agree Vic.

This weekend I think may demonstrate the true gap between the real contenders and those that may just be pretenders. I know we got Souths last year in the early rounds so you just never know. I actually think it will be easier to pick the top 4 this year than the bottom 4 and I don't think we'll be in either.

Once I'd be excited about 2nd playing 3rd on a Sunday arvo...truth is I am a little bit frightened at what could be the result.

Still...I love my team.
