Saw Toby get interviewed tonight and Danny framed it that he had a warning for the sharks.

That’s typical of Danny but Toby said “I’m in this game to set myself up” spoke about “being 25 and not 4 or 5 years of NRL money behind me”.

So there you go we know where his head is at. Not a good interview for him to be honest. Play the game Toby even if it’s not what you really think.

I’m not as “on board” as I was yesterday.

Not much of a surprise considering he nearly went to the Warriors. Won’t be that upset if he goes as I think he’ll just take the next opportunity to jump ship every time he’s off contract.

Gallen loves a dollar more than anyone but he stayed loyal to one club.

I thought the first post to this thread was gonna be
...out of a hat.

And the answer was going to be a bunnie.

Oh well, hopes are still up.
Trousers still down.

Let’s face it a lot of these footballers are just footballers.

If they don’t make some money out of a footy career a lot of them are most likely not going to make more than an honest wage after it.

They put their body on the line every week especially guys like Toby.

They deserve to try and get top dollar.

Toby is an open book. He says what a lot of footballers think and do but don’t say it.

The guy does not deserve to be low balled but there will have to be a point that the $ don’t match what you are buying. The Craig’s will have to work that out.

I just had a glance at the said figures being tossed around, and read around on other forums to gauge reactions.
Nathan Brown supposedly has been knocked back by both Parra and Manly when he wanted $650K per year. He is a SOO representative. Most of what I've read, the fans of these two teams believe that he is not worth that price.
Toby has supposedly been offered $650K (or $660K?) per year by the Dogs. He's not a SOO player as of yet. I daresay that most of our fans would agree that at that price he is not worth it.
Obviously figures are bandied about willy nilly and none of us really know what the dotted line figure is, but if I was to take the figures given out as gospel, I would say good luck Toby.

Note: I used these two players because they play a similar role in basically the same position.

Yep, in a direct choice I take Brown. It’s close for me because I like Tobes, but I take Brown.
