This bastard is a goose. Not even his own man.
Doing the bidding of the powers that be.
They got scared of the Dragons and worried that the script might change.
We have to look afterthe broncettes coach.
The poor little darling is upset.
The worst part is,I don't think I'm paranoid.I believe there is dirty work going on here.
I havebeen a critic of Smith, but not on this occassion.
Destablising tactics are evident.
Won't the f**kers look like dills when he is found not to have a charge to answer.

St George captain Craig Smith is facing a five-match suspension after being charged with a grade-three striking charge that left Brisbane veteran Kevin Walters with a fractured cheekbone....Smith’s poor judiciary record has seen the base penalty of 275 points be extended to 453 for an early guilty plea, 544 for a late plea and 605 if found guilty. Smith also has 48 carry over points from his previous offence, which was a high tackle on Roosters centre Matt Sing that saw him miss five club matches and a New Zealand Test match against France....the 2001 season has been a very unhappy one for Smith and it looks certain he’ll be facing his 4th suspension of the season ....Smith’s judiciary record is the main reason why he’ll be leaving the NRL at the end of the season to continue his career with an English club.....all the attention however will be on Smith who has almost certainly played his last match in Australia unless the Dragons can make the 3rd week of the Telstra Premiership Finals series.

I find that articleill-informed and inaccurate. Sure the content is fine but Smith is entitled to a fair hearing and that article has Smith already kicked him out of the NRL without the bloke being able to defend himself. What if he gets off? Will there be an apology by the author? It's good to have an opinion but you have to be somewhat objective. Saints need to go for broke on this one and plead not guilty.

I didn't ask Matt to reproduce that article, I just 'cut, copy and pasted' it from his site. I also edited it to get the most important information across.

Most people already had Andrew Johns guilty or not guilty before his trial, similar to many other players who have fronted the judicary. I don't really think there is a witch-hunt against Smith.....yet.

Bomber, it makes me wonder if anyone has actually seen the incident.
Todays newspapers were givingmainly one side of the story. The impression being that Smith has committed a crime. IMO, the judiciary reacts more to public opinion then it does to the facts presented.
The video replay clearly show an accident happening on the footy field. No malice, no intent (unless you call a strong tackle 'intent').
The inference that Smith went in to take Walters out of the game is a load of crap.
Both players fell and Smith's arm slipped.
